Can anyone else smell bullshit? As if you would be on a forum telling randomers on the internet about how you're doing a few hours before a race.
My mate is doing a track day in his 182 cup and im tagging along.:race: But hes really nervous he will get turned away because of his exhaust loudness :nono:
I think the max is 105 dbs at Oulton park.
His setup iirc is...
182 Yozzasport Catback
Decat
ITG panel (makes no diff lol :headno: )...
Ideally below £150 each, i want fixed back ones (will be used on track), what is good/comfortable?
Which harnesses, probably 4 point, quite cheap if poss?
Subframes- 1 sliding, 1 fixed? Whats good + cheap?
:D
Why dont you just buy them for cheap and get yourself one new one? Also consider how much itd all add up to with tyres (and refurb if necessary) and see how much your actually saving yourself, dont rush into anything.
Are these any good for track use? :S
Where can i get them from, im struggling to find any decent sites with prices?
Or what else is any good???? :quiet:
Cheers
Very helpful mate. I didnt know that 'proper' race shocks needed so much maintence. Club racing is all ill be doing and £1500 is my max really. Do you know anyone who has experience with KW?
Also, these 2-way adjustable shocks have settings for bump and rebound. How easy is setting them up...
What are peoples thoughts on the...
KW Competition Clio B cup
Circuit Race Kit - Twin tube (2-way adjustable) £1523.00

According to the attendee list there is someone with the username 'king_seven2003' with a 'renault, clio, racing blue' going?

Great help :) just been reading through the tech regs http://www.750mc.co.uk/images/uploaded/Hot-Hatch-2008-regs.pdf
Seems like they are not as strict on mods in class D as the dunlop sport maxx. Class D (standard) seems the most appealing to me as some things can be changed...
Thanks for most peoples help. Having looked at the technical information for both the dunlop series and the LMA euro series (couldnt find much on the stock hatch), it seems to me that the dunlop series seems a better way to go as the modifying rules are very strict ,unlike the LMA series...
What an unhelpful response. There is that much info on the net its hard to know where to start. I have searched for info regarding different race championships but it is hard to find series' for a specific car. Now that people have given me the names of race series' i can go from there and...
However, just had a look on www.barc.net at the technical specs and they only allow cars that are less than 5 years old. So an 03 at the oldest for 2008 and then it moves up by a year, each year. Thats a c**t.
Excellent help. Any links?
Also, is it one of those series' where only drivers with a certain amount of race experience are allowed to enter or are novices allowed to take part?
Also very helpfull and any links would be greatly appreciated.
Roughly how much are we talking for a race...
