Fastwunz what exactly was your purpose in starting this thread?? Bearing in mind that a fair percentage of cliosporters drive 1.2s what did you hope to achieve by slating the car?
What car do you actually own? If you let me know ill jump in one, drive it 10 minutes down the road, log on to a...
Thats fair enough im sure it is the best (and only) option for hooking up a phone, however this guy does have an ipod - therefore the best option is not an fm transmitter, its got to be a stereo with ipod interface!
Its fantastic, especially when you get the adaptor so you can use the steering controls. Best £250 (that included having it all fitted) ive ever spent!
Seriously dont bother with an fm transmitter, the sound quality is seriously poor in comparison to some other stuff out there and its a right fiddle.
Ive got this installed in my car and its brilliant...
Anyone out there tell me how much roughly your insurance is going to go up by lowering 40mm and swapping the standard alloys for something a bit more special? im with bell insurance at the mo if that helps?
Hi Tom, just fitted those jbl ones your on about in in the back doors of my clio, so i suppose im best placed to answer your question! Theyre definitely a BIG improvement and certainly worth the money, if you have a nosey on this forum theres a free delivery code for caraudiodirect as well, so...
Ive just upgraded my back speakers with these coaxials: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=5122
really pleased with them, so much better than the standard ones. They came next working day from caraudiodirect and i got free delivery on them, plus theyre £60 in halfords...
Not sure about that, they make by far the best headunits which also have the benefit of looking classy, unlike that piece of pioneer junk youve just pointed out!
It just seems a bit crazy that the insurance is 4 or 5 groups more than the clio, i suppose it all depends on how much cash you think the extra 11 brake is worth (and whether you like puntos or not of course!) :D
Id highly recommend one, the 1.2 16v is quick enough for my needs and more importantly is great fun to drive. Of course theyre not a patch on a 172 or 182 in terms of speed but then your insurance will be sooooo much less and your mpg will be better. For example my insurance fully comp on a 1.2...
You are joking arent you? the difference in sound quality is about 10 times better and thats before youve even thought about changing the speakers. Its a question of quality really!
Im not sure having an aftermarket hu in any way qualifies anyone as being a scally, its just a sign of someone...
Youll need to buy a wiring kit in addition to your new head unit in order to be able to use the steering controls. I can highly recommend the alpine cde9850IR which is an absolute must if your wanting to play your ipod in the car, in order to use the steering controls i had to buy a special...
Is the £42 including fitting? if not how much du reckon it would cost to fit??
Oh yeah, silly question maybe, but would you have to declare the new grill on your insurance??
I have the same problem, im taking mine in next week to get the stalk adaptor connected up and the guy there told me that the centre display should then work, wicked stereo i have to say
If you were replacing the standard tweeters with a set of tweeter components could you just do the above and put the new tweeters and front door speakers in using the original wiring?
If i replace the front factory fitted speakers in the door with some 13cm jbl coaxials using the standard wiring already in the door, will the standard tweeters in the dash still work?
Bought a couple of pairs of 13cm jbls to replace the front and rear door speakers on my mk2 clio. Anyway problem is im having trouble removing the factory fitted speakers, in particular the screws theyre held on with! They look kind of like they need an allen key to unscrew them but ive tried...
Hi, looking at getting the Alpine CDE-9850Ri which apparently means i can just plug in and play my ipod. daft question maybe but where would my ipod go? Could it go in the glovebox (ive got an 04 dynamique)? If so how easy would that be to install? Im not really into ice installation so it...
Cheers for the advice. If i were to get those components im not sure im going to be able to fit them myself, or are they easy to sort out? Advice would be greatly appreciated!
Failing that ive seen some nice jbl 5902 speakers which are half the price on caraudiodirect than in halfords, two...
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
Just bought an 04 dynamique plus and am looking to replace the standard headunit (with a jvc kdg421 and ipod interface) and rear/front speakers with some decent quality 13cm speakers - about £40 a pair . There are already tweeters mounted in the...
Just bought a mk2 1.5dci 100 and fancy colour coding the sides and the strips at the front and back. Would i be best getting a bodyshop to do it or trying it myself? Ive not done any spraying myself before! Any idea what the price difference would be between them?
