i had the same problem. best way 2 stop it is 2 use silicon. take off inside trim and pull down the roof carpet and u will see bolts all the way round the sun roof, basicly undo all of them and the outside black trim will come off, silicon under this all the way around, bolt it back down n there...

iv redlined mine plenty of times, obvisly i didnt mean to but you try keeping up with your mates 1.8 306. i found its best to change gear at about 5.5k, wouldnt go to much higher because you seem to start loosing power
mines still on its original at 134k, looks good considering the amount of miles its done. Gettin my new engine in next week and possibly a new preformance exhaust next month.
