I brought an engine the other week and it got deliverd thursday morning, when i took a proper look at the engine there was no way this engine had done 10k, it was more like 210k. I took the rocker cover off to find creamy oil, head gasket gone, piston rings on cylinders 2&3 fucked and also sand in the oil! As you could probably tell i was pissed off! So yestaday i gave him a call. I explained the sistuation and he told me to ring him back in 20mins so i did. He then tells me that i have been sent the wrong engine and that the engine i have is ready for scrap. My proper engine is now being deliverd on tuesday and fingers crossed i get it in on wed.

Im guessing he did, or he bench tested the rings.
I would just take it for that price.
Just tell the original seller you needed the problem sorted ASAP and due to his mistake of sending the wrong engine you require a refund.
I think it is very incompetent to send the 'wrong engine'. Considering the cost of delivery surely they would double check.
