Depends where you are located and how far you willing to travel. Mine is custom cages (upgraded by me) welded in by JcWeldFab in farnborugh. Very happy with their work. They can litteraly tailer it to your spec.

I can’t thank Carl enough for all the help he provided! An ocean of knowledge that I tried to absorb like a sponge!!! Turned out alright didn’t it [emoji12]
The best lesson I learned was when he said: ditch the lot and start from scratch [emoji51]?.

Thanks buddy.
Yes that part of the loom has stayed. Although heavily modified. In fairness all it has is few wires for the rear lights and few wires for the pump. That’s about it. Center brake light has been wired to a different light mounted on roll cage. Also swapped all the pins around on...
Honestly dont remember. Drivers is just a generic flat plate. Well the passenger is generic as well I guess.
Can’t get a link, says unavailable

Mate honestly it’s the biggest can of warms trimming oem loom. Ask me how I know ?. Just tidy it up with tape and cable ties and don’t touch it.

As mentioned previously. I completely ditched all Renault electronics. Only the rear loom left but was heavily trimmed.
The labels are made with label maker and clear shrink wrap on top. Everything else either controlled by Cartek PDP. Or the ECU.

How long is a piece of string? Budgets are hard to predict. I can almost guarantee you will go over yours. But saying that. Clio’s are brilliant on track as they are even stock. So your budget would be fine to have fun. Question is, how reliable is it going to be? And how much faster/harder you...
Took the loom out completely to tidy it up.
And ultimately take some pictures for history books [emoji851][emoji41]
Now back it goes again. This time semi permanent.
If I were to do it again. I would probably do it slightly differently next time. Need to plan final locations a little better...
Just a quick one for today.
Spend most of the day ironing out the set up. What do people do for 2 speed fans? Little puzzled if I need to use fan resistor or just have it at full speed?
Also struggling with idle control valve. Does not respond to any adjustments I am trying to do. But I know...
Not much to write about this update. Just one thing, it bloody RuNs!!! ? I did not mess up anything and DIY loom building at home is possible!
Still need to tidy it up and wrap in few places and clip to chassis. Defo didn’t want to do I before I see it run in case I have to take it out again...
That looks superb!! Although not sure I would use felt? In case of leaks etc. Probably won’t leak but it will absorb the smell. I could be very wrong. Looks very good tho!

Does yours have straight or offset mounting holes? I also think 182 use 110amp version. Mine is the lighter version 75amp with straight holes

What kind?
I have a bran new cup 75amp version. Bought wrong one. When came time to fit, it wasn’t suitablefor PMS bracket, but was too late to return. Paid £110 for it.
Yours for £80 delivered.

Looking good mate! I will need to do that in the near future. Just need the car running first. How tall is the swirl pot?

The one on the left is oil pressure switch. The one right at bottom to the left is the oil level. I could be horribly wrong haha and that means I need to completely redo my loom but fairy certain that’s what they are

July.
There was no progress for 2 weeks at all due to work commitments. Screw you paid Jobs! [emoji23] only kidding!! Car won’t pay for itself.
Right first thing was to fit turbo blanket. Not much of a job but will greatly reduce under-bonnet temp.

Than I fitted...
