    Need a honest opinion

Pulled the plug out later on in the day when the drier weather made it more intrusive. To be honest that was my first seat time in a Clio in 10 years. I didnt even remember they came with tc lol

    Need a honest opinion

I run Winmax W6 on plain discs - these are a step up again from the Ferodo. Decent race pads dont have any issues to warrant needing grooved discs. Grooves might help recover a standard disc when you go over their temperature range but they increase wear. Cooler pads will wear slower and keeping...

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

After 9 odd years I'm trying to get back into some FPS games. I'm struggling with the keyboard WASD and then hitting the other buttons to jump/crouch. Thinking of getting the Razer Tartarus V2 to help my old hands. Anyone use it?

    182 Trophy on the Bay

If the car does not come with the Sachs then I'd walk away. In my view its an essential part, even if you fit something better. I have stuck my dampers in a box for safe keeping.

Wanting to transform Clio RS 182 cup into S1600 - Need help!!

You need to speak to a company that can properly design the parts. You will want the front wishbones as wide as possible as a big offset will cause clearance issues when turning. For the rear I'd probably ditch the rear suspension design and either get a double wishbone or weld in a McPherson...

    Coilover Help. Rebuild Or Replace.

The only real benefit of full coilovers on the rear is the ability to easily increase rear spring rate and still have good ride height control. For racing the rear does need to be a lot stiffer as the standard chassis has a great tendency to understeer. I run 600lb rear springs on my 182

    Shipping shocks gas or oik

100% all Clio 2RS ones with the exception of the Sachs dampers and 60mm 182 cup dampers are oil. I've just checked the 106 dampers and they are oil filled only (no retaining wire) 119 dampers fitted to the 182 standard chassis (54mm spacing) are oil too.

    Suspension fitment advice

You have the old wishbones to compare to but I dont think they are different.

    Daily 182 Brake Setup

Its not really Eurocarparts staff job to advise so you wouldnt get anywhere there. Standard discs and pads are absolutely fine for a road Clio 2RS. The only time its worth changing is if you want to pep up the fronts with something that can cope with more heat for extended B road blasts. We are...

172 Discs for track day car

Grooved discs increase pad wear. This means that if the disc has overheated and glazed then the pads will recover faster. With modern compounds and by making the right choice of pad for the temperature range the brakes operate you should never get to this point. You can therefore save money with...

    Gaz Gold fitment issues 172

There seems to be a relatively large variation in the original castings as even my 182 Trophy hubs were different size thicknesses.

    Fast road clutch choices

I'm quite happy with selling Luk ones. I dont get an issue.

    Fast road clutch choices

For near standard cars I do not see the need for a fancy one. At best for regular trackday cars I think a high quality organic clutch is the answer. For racing clutches tend to get more abuse and tougher ones are more likely to be required.

Do I need stiffer springs? :D

I have only one question. Is it a trackday car? If its used on the road primarily dont worry about it. Try a rear ARB and see how you are.

No more Renault Sport (now Alpine)

I thought it had been doing Ok. I'm happy to be corrected. Personally I think it doesnt look good enough at the rear compared to a Cayman so I'd not have one.

No more Renault Sport (now Alpine)

The future of cars is electric so thats something we all have to accept. With the popularity of the Alpine, Renault may be onto something about splitting their brands and focusing on more unique cars after the relative success of the A110 Renault Sport cars are not popular in the EU. The UK is...

ha that looks a lot smaller!. Does it line up with the standard aux belt position or will you have to space the pulley out?

    Winmax W5 Vs Pagid RS29

I think the majority will be fine with the W5. Due to the amount of miles done each trackday i would favour low wear rate vs maximum bite. I use W6 myself but the pads will wear a bit quicker.

    Winmax W5 Vs Pagid RS29

From customer testing RS29 dont have the same pedal feel nor last as long as the Winmax W5

I would say match it to whatever the dampers and springs are now. What springs are on the car currently

Ah ok. Monday I can get the printout of my car on newer dampers and max caster on the top mounts

    Adding Caster with Gaz Coilovers

mucking around with wishbones will be more expensive than the £60 it would cost for a pair of metric springs. The other way - modify your top mount position and move the mounting backwards

    1*2 cup rear shocks nla?

We have stock just arrived of the cup dampers. The world is a little bit better than it was yesterday. I'm just working through peoples backorders at the moment.

    DS1.11 overheating

It really is down to the pad compound. Metallic pads certainly are harder when cold. I'm not so sure about the Ferodo range but certainly running a pad outside its designed operating temperatures heightens the risk of issues. If you are running pretty cold then you are really using the wrong...

    COILOVER THOUGHTS & EXPERIENCES

I'm a big fan of setting the car up for where it spends the majority of its time. I love the Bilstein B14 for road use but its a bit on the soft side for track. The big question is how much is the car used on track and also how standard is the chassis. The B14 sits high at the back if the car...
