Looking to purchase a drill, just for basic car work/bit of DIY, nothing crazy.
Have taken a bit of time to read various reviews and research, and have pretty much drilled (sorry!) it down to two at the moment...
They look good mate.
Planning on making some to sell?
I quite often see people asking where to get these, and they are pointed to K-Tec who want £35 per surround which unsurprisingly are not popular.
Think you would get some interest if you could make more (y)
What association has colour got to do with whether you have them for a performance benefit or just for show? Mine are red on my Trophy, as I got them for a very good price as brand spanking new units, and also like the fact they tie in with the colour of my car. I guess I should remove them from...
What's the issue you are having with the plate?
WM05 DZO - shows up as a black Renault Clio on the Gov.UK Vehicle Enquiry page; AskMID just says not currently insured; and on the price comparison site Confused.com, I have entered that plate and it returns a Renault Clio 182?
You’ve probably already seen photos from Stef’s post on his project thread, but met up with @Stefan. today for a blast in our Trophy’s.
Great weather, great roads, great cars. Absolutely love this thing, it’s a blast and a proper B road weapon!
Hi mate,
I haven’t replaced any of those parts you have mentioned so can’t comment on part numbers.
But there is a thread on the Clio Trophy forum with most common part numbers (think you have already seen this as somebody replied to your thread on there). And I find Renault Parts Direct quite...
Oh yes, it will certainly get driven. Now I’ve finished making it all nice (bar a couple of additions still to come), and protected the bodywork to a degree, it’s time to drive it. Which is the main reason I bought it; appreciate it doesn’t look like that at the moment!
Unfortunately I need to...
Got the car back from the detailers today.
Soon as I got it home, I fitted a couple of small things I was waiting to do.
First, my bonnet stay guide. It was pointed out to me that mine was missing! Then I remembered when I removed the old grille, finding an odd clip on the floor and not...
Nice update Frayz.
Belts and rear mat look great; very smart and understated, I like it.
I think a rear cage would look right at home in your car 👌
If you go for it, will you be fitting harnesses?
Are you Steve? If so, it is me you bought the PMS tips from.
I still have the 3.5” on the car. I bought the 3” ones, but they didn’t fit my system (there is a reason why, PM if you want to know), but will fit fine on your system.
Catches very slightly on the front, so will be addressing this...
197/200 Brembo's, 280mm discs and 15" 2118 wheels on my Trophy.
Using PMS 280mm bracket kit (fairly new to market), calipers machined by PMS, and PMS 18mm front spacers.
Welcome along, and very nice Cup; got yourself a good example there.
Some nice cars you have owned previously too; pick of the bunch is the 147 GTA for me.
I had one about 18 months ago; I documented everything I did to it on this forum (link...
Today, I finally managed to get round to fixing the heater vents! I bought a second hand centre dash vent unit recently (pics in earlier post), so I got the connecting bars swapped over (bloody fiddly job!) and finally managed to fit my upper dash back on properly.
Also bought some new pedals...
Thanks again for the photos @Dr Jekyll - they look awesome
So, I went and collected this from Alex (AW Motorworks) earlier this week.
First of all, have to say massive thank you to him. Can’t fault his services, always kept me updated, thoroughly nice bloke, and I gave him a list of...
Nice work Frayz, glad to hear it seems to be back to full health. Out of interest, assume the ECU is completely stock on yours (no map/RS Tuner)?
As for forced induction, personal opinion is to leave it as it is. I think the engine in these cars, coupled with the "out the box" suspension and...
Just thought I would update this to say my ABS warning lights have now been sorted.
When I swapped my steering wheel over, I forgot to plug the steering angle sensor back in properly 🤦♂️
And so, leads me onto the next update. Here are some pictures of the work in progress at AW Motorworks, and some teaser pictures of how the Trophy is currently sitting.
I can’t take the credit for the photos, so a big thank you to @Dr Jekyll for taking these, hope you don’t mind me posting...
All being done by Alex at AW Motorworks :)
So, as can be seen by the photos above, dropped the Trophy off with Alex earlier this week to have everything fitted.
Before that, I picked up the Pure Motorsport exhaust from my friend, and got it home and gave it a polish. Only thing I noticed was...
