Thanks for your nice comments sir! But I’m afraid I’ve no flippin idea @16V F7R I’m afraid mate?
I would assume so, because the difference between the two engines is the bore/stroke, believe the head castings are the same..? But I’m sure @Coops Mk1 will pop along in a moment to set us both...
The history of this car keeps coming out of the woodwork, and I’m loving the journey!! 😆
Adam, The Renault Tech from St Helens saw in one of my threads about my conversation with the super chatty eBay seller of K60 FRY and sent me a message with a few pictures:
Hi steve, just been catching up...
Thanks for all your comments in support gentlemen! Very nice to read!!
I found a few more pictures of my Mum’s Clio Valver 💙
That bonnet bulge just gets me everytime
I can see a recreation of this photo on the cards in summer 23
Oh wow, so there might be some truth in that statement then @Daz?? I must admit, she really does pick herself up and shift down the road when you give it some..!?
Do you know if KTEC ever made a 4-2-1 Manifold like some of the advertising said and suggests the car has? I’ve not dug into it...
I actually like that spoiler, wherever it’s from..?? So going to keep it. But interesting to know more about it, if you or any of the other members know the story of it, I’d be keen to learn?
Wanted to just share what I know about the car, the advert for it read as follows:
1995 Renault Clio Williams, long mot, 127k, loads of service history, stamped original Renault service history booklet, original handbooks, a folder full of documents and old mots, a very original example, even...
Following the drive home, I was keen to get the heater fan and Centre vents fixed, so and I took a ride over to a breakers yard near Bury St Edmunds and grabbed a few choice bits:
Including a new passenger side door as the original one is starting to look a bit crusty at the bottom!

Back in the summer of 1994 my mother wanted to replace her Peugeot 205 and chose a brand new MK1 Phase 2 Clio 16v delivered on 1st August 1994 with the reg M916 WAV.
I vividly remember that when she ordered the car, the dealer asked her if she wanted to have a Clio Williams 2 instead as he was...
Took Clio to the ClioSport festival at Blyton Park last weekend, and primarily gave it to my wife to drive for the day.
She’s done plenty of trackdays with me, but always as a secondary driver, she’s never had the chance to really get stuck in herself.
So she got all prepared for the sighting...
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Was 1 step away from getting an announcement put out on the PA System... Was determined to track you down
I noticed that on this thread was proof of the encounter... and true to form, you were hiding your face from the Camera!:LOL:
Bloody awesome ClioSport Festival 2022!!!
Great to catch up with so many old faces, and many new also!!
Great track etiquette, and those of you who were stepping out of line, soon got a slap 👋 from the Marshalls to bring you back!! 🤣
It’s the first time my wife has just taken the Clio 182...
Sorry if this has been answered already 15 times, but i searched the thread and found nothing…
What time is the briefing for the AM track Session on Saturday or do we have to watch a briefing video ahead of the day?
Got the Air Conditioning re-gassed:
and even though the car has had EVERYTHING brand new within the engine bay
Compressor
Condenser

The A/C is still not exactly blowing MEGA COLD 🥶….
So a question to the 3 people that read this thread:
1) Is the A/C on these MK2 Clio’s...
And of course, had to fit the obligatory NR sugar puff sticker onto the car now she’s earn’t it!!
Only 2 weeks until she’ll see some more action on track at the ClioSport National Day!!
P.S. This 10 picture max posting thing on ClioSport is POXY… 🤬
Just back home after doing 1228 miles in the Clio this weekend:
What and awesome little car!! Got some much better pictures through the Racetracker website:
Circuit Days Nurburgring Nordschleife Trackday yesterday and the Raider loved it, but of course, being a Renault, not everything was plain sailing…
Drove there and the Aux Belt tensioner started squealing like a 🐷, so gave it a little WD40 spray, and it shut up, but I wasn’t confident in it...
RB Clio collected from Chris and the fabulous team at Beaniesport today following the freshly rebuilt gearbox fitted with a Quaife Locking Differential built up by @NorthloopCup
WOW…. just WOW!! In the short traffic filled drive home I had, I could feel the diff doing it’s thing… car feels...
Car dropped off with Chris at Beaniesport for him to fit the gearbox and change the Dephaser Pulley.
He tore into at great speed, and has already got the Gearbox out, and is now onto changing the Dephaser with the new spangly timing tools from Pure Motorsport:
Looking forwards to driving it...
Took the Clio Raider to my now favoured detailing guy near Cambridge (Optimum Detail) for him to apply ceramic coat the car, ready for our Euro Jolly coming up later this month.
Collected it today, and as usual it looked amazing:
It had a full decontamination wash and clay (yes I was also...
