Interesting, as I'm looking at ECU options for the trophy and ITB's, I was all set on Omex 600 to carry out that chore for me but I'm intrigued with this now.
I've bought a spare engine to build up nicely, by the time you factor in all of the right bits you can still easily hit 3-4k without labour, and that's without bodies or management, so if you can get away with finding a healthy engine maybe drop that in the car and rebuild the smokey oil burner...
It's just not a car for me Chi, it was to be a replacement for the trophy track car and I just didn't bond with it, so it's sat parked up for a while, but time to change it for a car I can actually put to use.

tbh, I regret buying the car, the 197 really isn't for me atall, is sat on the driveway for 5 months because I didn't want to use it.
The BTM system would be my choice aswell.

I think you may have got something confused in conversation with the garage, are you certain they said rollbar?
the ARB isn't even connected to the gearbox.
