The side mounts fix to the seats, you then got the sliders between the bottom of the side mounts and the subframe.
also, just because you have Sparco side mounts doesn't mean you have to buy sparco side mounts or sliders.
ALD, have you got any before and after flow tests for the heads you do?
is there only one option, or can you offer different spec heads?
do you offer a service of changing the valve guides/stem seals while you have it, and maybe rebuilding it back up with the supertech valves?
sorry for the AVA insult Neil :(
that's the way im about to go, high comp and decent head work, just bought another engine to be used as a donor.
ive been in talks with Lee down at Devil Developments (whose just done the 520bhp FRS for a mate called Will) and he was asking me if I fancied doing...
my other half's old 182 used to run a set of Eibach springs with new shocks, everything else suspension wise (lower arms, ball joints, top mounts etc) was refreshed and new aswell, and it was bloody good on track, it even clocked up over a dozen laps at the ring and it was found to be faultless...
just a tad.
along with him curbing a wheel on my Focus RS on the way to Germany, and then also letting him borrow it for a few days to have it returned with it blowing between the downpipe and exhaust (gasket destroyed), and not once did he ever put his hand in his pocket to put anything right...
sounds fair.... unlike my mate last year at Bedford, used the car as much as myself during the day, rod jumped out the front of the block when he was out on track and then once home pretty much didn't hear from him again :(
do you mean remote start, along the lines of what you could do with a Clifford alarm, so you can activate it from a remote away from the car?
or, just a push button start instead of using the key?
disconnect the battery for peace of mind.
by the time you have then got the car a little elevated so you can get underneath to unbolt the nuts from the studs of the chairs, it should have lost any residual voltage within the system.
then you can lean the seat back slightly to access the wiring...
ha ha, Nooo :p
in all honesty, I sold it on again a few years later, it went to the chairman of the Isle Of white group of the RSOC.
but it looked smart sat outside mine for those couple of years, a black 3dr cossie sat alongside the black escort cossie :)
about 14 years back I had a black 3dr sierra cosworth.
it had belonged to a mates aunt who bought it brand new, she owned it about 2 months and it was then stolen, after a couple of months went by and investigations carried out, the insurance company paid out.
a few months later the car was...
Omp works well, then just use the side mounts.
I found with the OMP subframe tho, that I had to come up one set of holes on one side of the side mounts to have the seat level.
I think I know which seat you are looking at Steve, I nudged Nick towards this the other day.
I will be very interested in this once its fully up and running, im happy to change the dash to a Race Technology item just as Russ Rallye.
how far off do you think you are from a fully completed and sellable setup?
Jon_KTM I can imagine it did make you feel a bit shitty, they did for me when I first started on them but ive probably got used to the dizzy side effects.... either that or they blend in with my normal way of life and they arnt so noticeable.
Chi appreciate your message late last night buddy ;)
I'm unsure Jon, I've got a hospital appointment the day before beds, so it will hinge on that.
i may well do, but I won't go out on track as a passenger, I'll just socialize for a few hours with a brew or two.
and yes, Tramadol, it's awesome for the pain relief but it plays buggery with...
