The unit has come to an end chip, we need to be out by the end of the month which is a shame.
the car is going in to a friends garage for a few weeks and in that time frame I'm hoping to have the hard standing and big workshop erected at the bottom of the garden so it can all come home.
I...
Not really Bobby, ready when it's ready.
but my back may play a limiting factor on occasions.
i am aiming for the ring the beginning of May, which should be easily achievable, or atleast I hope.
it was broken to a certain level as I bought an R27 to move on to, but I couldn't gel with the car, so better the devil you know and its coming back to life better than before :)
it went straight on to the AST's Chi.
and the car was uber cheap so made a perfect base platform, it didn't matter to me if it were a 182, a cup or a Trophy, I just wanted a smart looking car to build upon, and this one came available at the right price at the right time by a guy I knew and...
if its only a small piston and a small lever/handle you are using, then yes you will have to put in a little more effort, but a 1.5 tonne jack will still be more than capable for the task.
a lot of the bigger lightweight jacks have a 3ft lever to pump up the jack, the longer the lever the less...
no they wont fit, the shocks have different bolt spacing where they fix to the hub.
if its only the bumper/wings/bonnet that's been changed over, then everything underneath will continue to be for a ph1 172 if you ever need to maintain or replace anything.
Christoper has the same box I have used, I've also used one on a Focus RS in the past and it a handy bit of kit.
there is a small threaded stud up on the near side turret it slipped on to, and then a nice 10mm M6 nut fitted perfectly :)
there may even be a picture in my old project thread.
Ah yes, more parts... Power steering removed and lightweight pulleys etc, but the pulleys are to ease the strain on the engine rather than making the car lighter.
my headlights cause no issues, but it depends on what trackdays you book, obviously I can't book on to the MSV sessions when it...

Your reply to me, post #60
ive done pretty much the same, and like you we can lift the back of the car with ease.
have you removed the roof lining and the tar sections up there aswell?
I've also taken the engine mount/battery tray out, cut off what wasn't needed and smoothed it all down so it...
pretty certain the cambelt is 72k.
there is no reason your car should be an issue hitting 100k, aslong as it's maintained correctly it will go on and on.
I understand wanting to loose weight from the front, or you run the risk of having the rear so light that it could be like a pendulum if you got it wrong mid bend.
there is quite a bit of chunky foam in the front bumper, and the sound deadening on the bulkhead.
does/did the car have aircon, you...
ive always liked the idea and looks of the RS2 inlet, but for me its a bit of a waste of money paying for the cover in carbon, id be happy as larry if it were fiberglass/polycarb and just finished in satin black to save a good few quid.
