a quick one for those that own a ph1 172, can you disarm the passenger side airbag by means of a key switch in the same manor you can on the ph2 172/182's?

save the money on the exhaust, its not going to make any difference performance wise and all it will do is make it loud and noisy when its still not going to be very quick, it may just start to annoy your neighbours.
go for the springs and settle on some nice looks for the car...
whats a black ph1 172 in good condition worth, minus the engine?
in overall decent condition, no fancy treats just a completely standard car.
when I say whats it worth, I mean what realistically could I see as a return from this if I were to break it?
It certainly has George, I'm hoping its a frequent user on her and they spot it.
worst case, buy it and break it, but seems to tidy to go that route at this stage.
Suspect cambelt failure, it's a fair price it's been offered to me for but I'd like to make sure the car had no other drama's before I buy it and set about an engine change.

ive just ran our Trophy reg plate through ECP and the ball joints are available, but then ran the reg plate for our phase 1 through it aswell and the ball joints didn't come up.
im guessing there must be a variation between them both.

I you feel there is to much movement within the ball joint, then it could well be heavily worn.
for what they cost, and while you have it stripped apart, I'd certainly look at changing it for peae of mind.

not the digital instrument cluster, but the main dash assembly itself?

must admit, while my engine/box are out and things are being changed, I am sooo tempted to get a diff sorted out before reassembling again.
do they deal direct with customers and sales?
or a slightly better to get a diff/CWP from an agent and use my own guy to have it all fitted?
