Mikeyjp cheers mate, done a few more bits to it now! Changed the brake ducts slightly as I wasn't happy with them ... :o
I managed to do a bit more to the Clio in the last few weeks. Thought I'd give the calipers a fresh coat of paint and detail the arches, looks a lot better under there now...

This is what I've done with mine, however I've changed the inlet/trumpet so it's more hidden now and put the small bits of arch liner back with a hole cut for the pipe to the brake caliper :)
DaveDreads have you read the description for the Mapco kit on eBay?
I had a quick look down the list and it says it fits a 172 so would have though it could work?
Top one in the picture, if tapatalk works...
I wouldn't have thought the spigot rings would cause issues
I forgot the spigots one track day and ran without all day (too large centre bore) and had no issues
After pictures of the detail...
I didn't get any during pictures as I just wanted it done! Likewise none of the swirl marks close up but they were not good.
Process was complete decon the day before so Iron-x, Oblitarate, clay, APC all over including shuts etc and 2BM with AF Lather and...
I can imagine they need to be driven fairly confidently to get the most from the VTEC. No pulling out of a corner in 4th thinking you're going to take off, more rev it out in 2nd and work the box?
Thought so on the handling, that makes me feel better ;) haha
Looking good
Mate of mine is thinking about one of these at the moment. Will definitely be having a go in it :)
How does it handle compared to the Clio?
5's you can only get in 17 and above
3's have replaced 2's but I can't seem to find 205/45R16 in the 3
Not a lot of stock left in 2's either (struggling to get 4 for mine at the moment)
One of mine did this
I drilled straight through where it snapped off, then put a bolt through from the inside
Nut the other side, and you've got the stud back!
Then just apply arch liner with a new nut on top of that :)
Use a couple of washers as well
Adam from Renault Wolverhampton is on holiday apparently.. how dare he.
I never got a reference number from him and the parts guys cant seem to find the part I need.
What Im after is the alternator shield that protects it from water/spray on the road. As without it you can see it straight...
Bit of an update...
This year is all about trying to save so doing small but effective modifications/fixes to the 182
So next job that needed tackling was the cheese front sill jacking points. Having seen the thread on here using a bit of box section I got to work :)
