Oh nice, small world, not far at all!
I used a company called Kineton Powder Coating which is 2mins from my work in Gaydon.. Who do you use? may be easier to take future bits somewhere more local to the car.
Haha!, surprisingly he was under the rear end changing the rear rubber hoses over to...

Managed a few hours on the car this weekend.. The lads were down so we all went to watch a round of the MSVR championship (GT Cup/Team Trophy/Mini Challenge) at donington (10mins down the road).. saw a few clios in the paddock, one in particular was holding its own and even beat an Audi S3...

I wrote a list of all the damper OE part numbers in the above thread.. for reference
I don't think @Logan89 is saying that they aren't fine for general use.. Just that he is getting a harsh ride under extreme incidents (which wont be helped by the OE dampers) .. You wouldn't have a problem with them under normal driving circumstances, just extreme events, when the sub optimum...
Hi,
How much lowering do the Eibach Sportline springs offer?.. In any case, If you have lowered the car then the OE dampers will not be suitable. The bump travel of the damper will be dramatically reduced, therefore when you hit a pothole or sharp bump then the damper will bottom out and...
I forgot about the disc thickness in my previous post....
However I Suppose if you get the kit from Demon Tweeks and select the right car it has all been pre worked out anyway..
The standard bolts may thread into the hub more than 9mm
9mm is just 6 times the thread pitch at 1.5mm (as they...
Hi, I wrote this previously for similar question...

You won't find any.. the spacers have to be a minimum thickness to be able to machine the counterbore/countersink to enable them to be bolted separately to the hubs (needs at least enough material for depth of bolt head).. As you suggest I'm sure the H&R minimum thickness is 20mm, other...
There's a few places round here that does powder coating.. I'll let you know how mine comes out, first time using this company.. Kineton Powder Coatings (2mins from work)
I was going to say thats how I'd do it.. most road car fuel pumps have the same plastic outlet design and they usually use the standard push on clips.. We had the same connector inside the tank to the pump on our GT3 cars too
I just read it back and thought oops everyones going to think im crazy with that comment [emoji23] ... yeah the outlet on the pump doesn't even have any barbs so could have easily slid off.. im surprised the fuel pressure didnt just blow it off.. theres the risk of overtightening it too and...
Like I said in my message the other day mate, I'm going to be putting in an order with OMP for some bits I need around mid October, so if you want anything 30-35% off demon tweeks OMP prices let me know  and i'll get it on as part of my order.
Good purchases!...Id be interested to see what they weigh compared to what they quote.. I worked out savings the other week based on quotes weights and then weighing the steel standard parts:
Standard:
Door - 25kg (with glass)
Bonnet- 12kg
Boot - 15kg (with glass)
Total = 77kg
Fibreglass:
Door...
glad to hear your making progress... As you tried to start it without the earth strap you will probably have quite a few fault codes on the ecu that will need clearing.. Normally fuel pump to ground and throttle position to ground faults (due to no earth strap) .. get these cleared and try to...
Out of interest What EHPS system have you fitted Russ? Was thinking about this earlier.... I'm not sold on the fully electric EPAS columns from the 1.2s, you never get full feedback from the road/tyres due to the torque transmitted back up the column gets dumbed down due to the gear ratio of the...
Hopefully I can get up to see u boys fight it out!
@Josh, yeah I saw the new thread, was speaking the Scott the other day about cages.
Grid numbers are on the up which is good to see Tony
Have you checked the main earth strap from the subframe to gearbox?... Quick check, Get a jump cable and put one end on negative battery terminal and the other end onto the engine block somewhere and try to start it..
Thanks gents! .. I think I need to pop down to a race and meet everyone at the TARC, check out all your cars in person, will be good to get some ideas and inspiration and say hi

Now the cage is finished I turned my attention to the front subframe and rear axle (the last pieces left on the suspension job list)
I sandblasted the front subframe at work and seam welded up the wishbone brackets and main plates to help strengthen the frame up (not shown in pic).. I plan...
