Some suggestions:
The standand renault front speakers are actually pretty decent. Unless you wanted to put a standalone amplifier in the game, in which case they would need changing.
The quickest way to make a big difference will be to get a 1/2 decent headunit with HP/LP filter...
If you want silent running:
Tape up your windows and passenger door.
Fit zero-rolling resistance tyres (Any eco-warrior one will do) to 14" wheels
Soften off all suspension components.
Rear seats and parcel shelf would help a lot too, but if you've not got them, you've not got them.

You're not adding power, you're just letting the engine rev up and down quicker by virtue of having less weight hanging off the crank. It's still going to have the same torque behind it at any given moment.
So any gains will be in your hands and how quick you can rifle through the gearbox.
Given we're talking about a work commute, what's there to get excited about? By the sounds of it, you'd have an equal amount of "fun" on your commute in a Honda Jazz as you would a Corvette Z07.
