New laws can be "bandwagon jumping" too. Audi used it as an opportunity to use LED style lights for the look and fair play to them. I reckon they sold a lot of Audis as a result.
What is it going to change? Are we really going to see a drop in accidents because people have their lights on?
I...
Have you considered getting something different altogether? Does it have to be a Renault? I would only ever buy a fast Renault.
The current Suzuki Swift Sport for example gets outstanding reviews. It's way better looking, has 17 inch wheels, twin exhausts, proper interior, climate control...
Well said. The cars fitted with them look like Christmas trees.
Audi stole a march on the other manufacturers. I'd be interested to know how many people bought Audi models partly for these lights, whether they admit it or not.
Every time I drive passed one, I think "idiot", they might not be of...
You need to start cutting your losses. Get the car to someone that knows what they are doing, get the engine fixed properly, don't modify the car in future and keep it for as long as you can to extract some value out of it. You'll need to, given what you've spent on the two cars.
I'm indifferent. Jeez, I must be getting old.
If you'd put an F40 or a 288 GTO on there, my chin would have hit my desk. I still find the absence of a chrome ball shifter unforgiveable.
I wonder if these modern Ferrari will ever have the aura of the older ones as they age.
I'll second this all day long. No brainer if you ask me.
Depends what you want doing to some extent but the man just does it right, first time, end of.
For clarification (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), .rst files are a rewrite of the whole ECU. A backup should be made of the original ECU software using the "Read" function on the RS Tuner software.
The .cal files only overwrite the engine parameters.
The reason that (some?) people...
I don't get black wheels for the following reasons:
- All black wheels look the same;
- You lose the "detail" or the "look" of the wheel;
- They look smaller;
With a silver wheel, you can tell from a distance or a glance whether it is an F1, Superturismo, Turini etc. They seem to have more...
Continue to press them on it. If your guy does not come up trumps, raise a formal complaint, they will have a procedure for this because they should be financial services act compliant. Be a nuisance and unless their policy does actually exclude it, you should get something. As a final...
Saw a snippet of the new Suzuki Swift Sport (not much of a change to the old one tbh!) in evo magazine this month.
I know it's not a "hot" hatch but boy is it a looker. Wonderful car to drive too apparently. Engine/gearbox/handling/build, the lot nailed - baby Type R.
May see a few more sales me...
Re the warranty, grab 10 minutes and the policy booklet and look at what is covered. It should be fairly straightforward.
You can't rely on the garage to fight your warranty claim as the insurer will just reject it at first. Third party warranties need to be pursued.
If your warranty covers...
From info below, number 1.
But do you want to know a bit about the exhaust on it? K-Tec plus decat might be too much if you are like me. That will be a few hundred quid to put right if it bothers you enough.
Any details on the number of owners? A biggie for me.
Re history, stamps only or...
Yes, I assume many get ripped off on speed bumps. Have you ever seen how these cars are driven!
Looks OK but whilst people can give you advice such as it's missing this or that, which is helpful, you need to see a car in the metal. Those pictures could have been taken when the car was bought or...
I believe it's a few mm lower but a set of Eibach springs should get you that sort of improvement. I doubt that there is that much in it.
The 172 Cup is a very raw model (sometimes referred to as having a "poverty spec" interior), crucially lacking ABS, xenon lights, any form of air con (unless...
Yep, what you put in is what you get out. Does your feedback actually appear verbatim or is it just yes/no and they show feedback as statistics.
Oh, and new car you say, have you checked for the swirls on it yet? Just kidding, but some of the cars that get through pre-delivery are shocking.
Of course, there are two phases of 172. The original (phase 1 if you like) and the phase 2 (with the larger headlights, slatted grills etc.).
As for Cup packs and not, it's really only the front splitter you want on the phase 2! I can hardly tell the difference between the Cup and non-Cup...
Yep, could be carnage. I do try to pass on word of mouth if I have received good service though.
That said, being a couple of miles away from Fred, I am fortunate enough to rarely have to go near a dealer.
I work in the auto support industry so know just how bad (generally) they can be.
