    Power steering problems

My 182 is only really used for trackdays and today on the way to the RS trackday when I started the car I heard a quick squeal, just thought it was the aux belt needing adjustment (PMS a/c delete kit). I adjusted the belt before going out on track but still a quick squeal on start up after...

    The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy

I would have given up with this a long time ago. I think the problem here is Mick works alone so can not dedicate a full day to it without affecting other “normal” work. I have used Mick a few times and he is one of the best garages I have used and will use him again. I would have a chat with...

My desktop is 6 years old now and so slow it is becoming annoying. I am looking for a laptop to replace it but no idea of what I really need. I will be using the laptop for normal use ie internet and PP excel, word etc, playing around with my gopro videos but also using Solidworks. With...

    Arb Inner Bushes Fitting Problem

Inners are a PITA to fit on axle stands, took me hours and lots of swearing. You need a big lever bar it does look like they will not fit until the bolt is done up.

Road legal track cars maybe a thing of the past... new mot rules

I have posted this before it does not just apply to rally cars, I am sure MOT testers that have experience with competition cars with have no problems with the new changes. I questioned about 4 MOT centres when mine was due for it's first MOT after I had turned it into a track car and most had...

Clio 172/182 - Which one to buy? Which model will be worth more in 10 years?

A 172 cup would be best but in 10 years time there will be hardly any 1*2’s left so as long as it was in good condition with no rust the values will be similar imo, find the best example you can for your budget.

Anyone upgraded from a 172/182 track car?

Love my track Clio, it would be nice to have more power to get past the idiots who don’t move over to let you past but apart from that it’s a great car and reasonably cheap to run. If I did change I would like a supercharged mini but that will cost more than £4K

Track car rear pads: standard or DS2500?

I use £10 ones from ECP they seem fine to me for how much work they do.
