Not updated it for a while but a few changes have been made.
I decided that I wanted coilovers and after a lot of going between BC and Gaz gold I went for a set of Gaz Golds with 525lb fronts and 400lb rears in the end from @Mash. due to them being a coilover unit on the rear as it makes...
Take the back box off the hangers and keep
Twisting and pulling should come apart but it that fails have somebody do that but get some wood put it on the back of the back box and while it is being twisted hit the wood with a lump hammer.
I am going to be fitting my new wishbones in a couple of weeks, does anyone know the correct torque for the bolts had a search but can't fid anything?

I’ve been on cup shocks and cooksports for the last 4 years a hard ride but it is just a track toy and only really gets driven to and from the track, I am in the process of fitting some Gaz Golds with 525lb fronts and 400lb rears.

Just find a garage that does not mind a track cars and knows what one is, I spoke to half a dozen garages before booking mine in for it's first MOT and they did not know how to go about the MOT correctly most said they would put everything down as an advisory.
I then found a...
Although most would probably pass if the light comes on and goes off the airbag is still missing and it was fitted as standard so if they were having a bad day they could fail you.
Reasons for Rejection, such as for components ‘missing where fitted as
standard’
I have removed all my airbags and had the light turned off with CLIP it still comes on with ignition but goes off as it should for MOT.
If you are changing steering wheel and removing airbags you need to make sure the car is looking like a track car ie no back seats harnesses etc so it is...
I have brought some Gaz gold off @Mash. i am yet to fit and try them but they are going to be much better than the standard shocks and cooksports I have now.
It was hard choice between the Gaz and BC’s but the rear coilover with the Gaz swayed me as it is easier to change rear spring rate if needed.
I got them to match a battery once but they wanted to see the website with the price, TBF it ended up cheaper as they did not take into account the postage.
You don't get discount on performance stuff from ECP, I am looking for some black series ARB bushes and carparts4less have 10% off with FAST10 code it is the best I have found ATM.
If you find anything better let me know.
I always liked the orange Corrado they did remember seeing that at the NEC motorshow around 1997 I think.
Most of the cars were s**t but at least things were more interesting back then.
It is just something I made as I could not find anything suitable.
Just a piece of bent steel for the mount to the dash and a piece of bent aluminium for the gauge.
This is the best photo I have ATM I will try and get a better one tomorrow.
@eon172
I drilled a new hole in the bulkhead and fed the cable through and fitted a grommet, once the cable was through it was routed in some cable trunking to the right of the engine (as you are in front of the car) around and down to the sandwich plate.
You can see it in the photos and it...
This is a good video for wrapping the harness around a bar.
Mine are 6 point aircraft buckle and it passes MOT's ,I emailed VOSA to question it a few years ago and as long as the car is designed for a purpose ie cage buckets etc a FIA approved belt is fine but if you just fitted them to...
I've had this issue a couple of times.
If it does happen it only seems to happen once or twice then it is fine again, I use standard elf box oil changed once a year.
