I'm going through the same now. I've ordered a pair of proline rears slightly longer to go from the bias valve to the calipers for a cup. I can update with pictures once they arrive.

    show me your car/trailer setup?

I'm also going through simular motions/thoughts but luckily have an older license. I'm interested to see other peoples tow cars and trailers. Mine would need to be a daily and ideally have reasonable economy. From the research I've done everything with a decent towing capacity, has poor...

Standard 172 Exhaust, good quality aftermarket options?

Fair point. It helps it look a little less rusty

Standard 172 Exhaust, good quality aftermarket options?

Hoffman off ebay. I went through a simular process. I built myself a 2.5"exhaust 2 boxes, I used the biggest boxes I could fit. It was so noisey. So I bought a stock 2.25 system. Link below, its light, much better quality than the original stock exhaust which actually went down below 2" on one...

Inspirational thread @Tomotek I was looking through some of the pictures and thought to myself I recognise that guy. I believe i worked with you at Mercedes (Gareth from R&D). I have a cup i use for track days, I didn't realise you had this. Anyway great work, its unusual for a designer to get...

Track only tyres - R888 or the new AR-1

I just missed out on some lightly used ZZR and so ended up buying new AR-1's, I currently have r888r fitted, my next track day is on the 7th if the weather is good I should be able to report back some feedback

Track only tyres - R888 or the new AR-1

Choosing tyres is a mindfeild. There all in pretty much the same price bracket at the moment too.

Track only tyres - R888 or the new AR-1

That's interesting. I hadn't considered Avons. I've found some A048 only slightly more expensive then r888r too.

Track only tyres - R888 or the new AR-1

Yeah I understand what your saying, I normally stay well away from Nankangs. I'm on R888R at the moment, so maybe I'll play it safe and get those again.

Track only tyres - R888 or the new AR-1

Bump this thread up, Does anyone have anymore feedback on the AR-1 Vs R888R? The R888R seemed to be slightly cheaper at the moment.

    172 cup exhaust woes

Show me some? All the ones I have found have been very small bore longlife crap. Or single box systems. Neither meet my requirements. I already had half the parts. So it cost considerable less then a 2nd hand one. For me part of the fun is doing these things yourself.

    172 cup exhaust woes

Hi. I have some exhaust questions I could do with some advice on. I have built my own 172 cup exhaust, I wanted it to be free flowing, low budget, and quiet. It's 2.5" and two boxes. The mid box is as long as the tunnel to try and keep the noise down. I tig welded it, made some mounts up and was...
