@NorthloopCup Circlip is holding it in the CV, so it doesn't come out, the inside edge is part of the shaft, it's that, that would need removing so it would solve the issue.
Which would be a poss fix if a shorter shaft is not available.
Camber wasn't changed, so its the same as it has been for a while, I think its a couple of degrees, poss 2.5, so not a massive amount, but all adds up obviously.
its shaft too long/engine too far to the N/S. Exactly as I said last night, and Exactly what I've had in the past.
Just need to find time/when I can be arsed to come down and fix it.
thats a Mk3/later engine/egr setup. Not had much to do with it luckily, tbh I can't really tell you how to do anything on a 1.5 these days.
Should be able to get to it from underneath though, but @HMS Derv Destroyer Should know.
It was mechanically perfect until soembody threw the rod.
Will have to see what I think to the brakes, could probably do with another session of my favorite thing.
I'll have a biast opinion, but we wouldn't do them if they were s**t. As per any map, it improves the low down performance massively, while giving you a few horsepower top end.
@meekings14 has one of our maps on his car.
its not oil feed, the gearbox has no oil pump so no way to move oil about like that, the hole is left over from Mk1 Clios that had a pin to hold that shaft onto the box.
You're going to love it as the CV grease slowly escapes all over the bay.
Probably been leaking the whole time the box has had the gripper.
Needs cleaning up, and then inspecting IMO, I'd poss consider silicone on the splines, at the end of the collar, so it 100% can't be that, and then look where to go from there.
As a further thought, its not coming from speedo...
Standard brembo pads are okay (what I used to run), but 2500s are a lot lot better, no compromise, wouldn't go back.
And yeah, no need to drive it carefully, although Mark probably needs to get used to ~165hp again after driving the Micra.
The point is, its not bolt failure (which I thought before I even saw the car), and the bearing is truely a mess. Unfortunately its impossibe to tell, mostly because the engine kept rotating, so thus theres crap all round the engine.
I guess I either didn't say to you Mark, or put it on here.
I dont think it was rod bolt fail at all, which were my first thoughts. I do believe its probably had a lack of oil, or just not been up to temp properly and its been its final time and couldn't take it anymore.
I dont have any pics...
Cup (thats 172 cup), or Ph1 O/S shaft, I found lengh didn't matter, Mines had both. N/S Can be 182 non cup, or Ph1/cup again.
Fit the DCi ABS sensors, they should all be same amount of teeth, but check your DCi, as the Sports are All 44.
Another tiny point, make sure you have sport (M14) shock...
As you've bumped it, i'll do an update.
I did snetterton without issues, loved the track and certainly want to do it again!, Then did Blyton Park on the 10th, another epic track, really enjoyed that. Car was faultless through both, I did new brake pads before Blyton, fitted DS2500s and I abused...
