I can't be arsed buying and setting one up lol. I'd only end up sitting there watching it over and over obsessing about missed apexes and mistakes anyway lol
2mins 54 I make an appearance in this guys video chasing my mates RS4 lol
Probably yeah haha
Trackday number 12 in the Focus at Oulton Park again Tuesday just gone. Car was awesome all day, nothing broke and my oil and coolant temps were fantastic too, even after 11 hard laps of the smaller Island circuit my oil never went above 110degrees and the coolant above 100degrees. As I'm sure...
Had the car dyno'd at EFI again this morning and surprisingly I've gained a nice chunk and power and torque.
Mixture of things I've done but ultimately I think it's the positioning of the filter that's helped.
I wasn't happy with the coolers efficiency with it mounted inside the arch, the peak oil temps were getting too high, considering it's still winter, they'd be considerably higher come summer time. So I've decided to move it round the front on the crash car just infront of the intercooler...
I did another trackday at Snetterton back on the 12th December, it was a complete washout but the car was brilliant, managed to find the optimum wet settings with the dampers and tyre pressures and the car was awesome, I have got a load of photos which I'll upload at a later date cos Photobucket...
Few more jobs completed. Been hard work trying to get stuff done with the really poor weather and short days.
At Oulton last month in the monsoon weather I had to call it a day early due to my filter sucking up water and drenching the MAF sensor, car was suffering from heavy misfires due to...
Last trackday of the year at Oulton the 14th November came along and it was my turn to have car issues this time lol
Just a few photos from the morning as the photographer didn't brave the monsoon weather that we got in the after afternoon.
1st session my manifold to turbo gasket blew...
Well on Sunday evening I got a message off a mate telling me somebody was after selling their spot for Donington. Really was last minute and by 8pm on the Sunday I was booked on. lol
Was overbooked but the track layout is brilliant, very quick circuit with fast flowing corners.
Few shots from...
Yeahh I was looking forward to doing Donny but I wasn't sure if I would have the car ready in time, as it turned out I have but I didn't want to risk losing £160 incase I hadn't.
Been a bit since I've updated this but I've had a couple of awkward jobs to do on the car lately, all come with in the past week or so too, so because I wasn't sure if I'd make the Donnington day I've had to cancel it. Pretty gutted really.
1st thing to go was the manifold gasket. Blew it...
Well the 4th August came and went too quickly lol. Trackday at Oulton was awesome though. Car performed very well and was far better than my last outing there back in February.

I said I'd never run bucket seats in a road car again after my FRP powered fiesta ZS but seeing as...
Should have more grip with with the 205s in theory. What profile are they?
I've actually dropped down to 17s with the RSRs and have a 5mm deeper profile.
Wasn't a small difference either and tbh my RSRs worked instantly, 1st corner I pushed them in to the grip was there. I've always wondered if those NS2Rs i had were a bad batch or something.
So the Cadwell Park trackday came along and what an amazing track it is. Will certainly be doing more days there. Car peformed well bar the last session where I lost a fair bit of boost. Turned out the spring inside the actuator had gotten weak due to the heat from the turbo.

Picked up a set of ST170 wheels a couple of weeks ago for very little money, having sold and regretted selling my TD 1.2s I decided to do a quick refurb on the ST170 wheels and plumped for Federal RSRs this time instead.
Painted them black purely for the low maintenance of them, very quick...
Had another crack at Anglesey on the 4th June, was a last minute thing.
Few shots from the day
Weather was perfect for it and my headlight CAFs worked a treat at keeping things a lot cooler.
