I agree. I personally get the same enjoyment/ driver involvement from both RWD- FWD for different reasons.

Yes the MP coilovers are made by KW. The M2 isn’t my daily driver.

Yes Mark, pretty much all weekend/ evening fun miles too. I presume you mean 19”? If so no, they only come in 18” and were a wheel option for the F80 M3 iirc.

The wheel tyre -combo of the 513m with the 40 profile is pretty much same size as the 19” 437m with the 35 profile, so the arch gap is pretty much identical.... But I know what you mean @Sir_Dave

Iirc that M2 has had a small drop on H&R springs. Fair enough. I do like the 437m on the M2, I am just not a huge diamond cut wheel fan.

Coppied and pasted off bimmerpost Thanks for providing these data! So the 18" wheels (rims + tires) are 1.9 and 1.6 lbs lighter (front/rear), for a total of 7 lbs. less unsprung weight. That is bordering on significant. We have reliable weights on the rims from BMW: 18" 513M front = 8.92kg...

The 513m wheels are not as dished as the 437m (stock M2 wheels) maybe it’s the smaller diameter wheels, and chunky rubber creating that illusion.

I personally quite like the fat tyre look, as I tend to always go down wheel sizes with my cars. These are also quite a bit lighter than the 437m so I have saved a bit more unsrpung weight. Cheers Matt.

IIRC the M140i was valued/sold at 27k, you can pick up M2 for around 32k now (great time to buy atm) so 5k extra, a new LSD fitted is around £2,700, so that leaves around £2,300 without any suspension upgrades etc.

And a LSD, then you are nearing used M2 prices. I known which I would rather own. Btw this isn’t a dig at the M140i, I really rate them tbh. Good power/ torque figures Mark!

Not a lot in it on the straights (as we all know) but a stock M140i wouldn’t know which way the M2 went on a twisty B road/ track.

Not sure what temp the fan should kick in, but if you unplug the temp sensor, the fan will come on (if it’s still working) instantly.
