I know a couple of people that did take advantage of WBAC price increase, and only had a tiny amount knocked off, so still got much more then BMW would were offering for part ex.

Not always the case, a few months ago WBAC were offering way more than anybody else for used BMW M2’s.

Owned M2 for 3 years now, on 15,700 miles. All good apart from a leaking driveshaft -fixed under warranty, and the windscreen needs replacing due to a huge crack developing from a tiny stone chip. Rare sight a M2 with chrome kidney grilles ;) Stock apart from a Restore44 splitter fitted.

Quite a few places can fit the time the 197 cams correctly. Alex @ AW motorworks in Essex can fit time the 197 cams. EFI is the worth the distance- travel (432 mile round trip for me) I live near Southampton and had my 172 mapped there.

Whereabouts are you based? EFI is the best place for mapping imo.

Maybe, my car had a generic RS tuner 98 Ron map, and all was good. 197 cams and 7 degrees (before mapping) idle.

Somethings not right. I had 197 cams timed up to 7 degrees, and the car ran fine and the idle was good (apart from being lumpy due to the cams) on the long drive up to EFI for mapping.

Not a great deal in it between 197 cams and GrpN timing power wise, but iirc you can’t get a clio to pass emissions test with GrpN timing, whereas you can with 197 cams. I have 197 cams fitted and mapped at EFI to my 172, and it made another 15bhp.
