Yeah we saw / heard about the queues post race. So many people moaning they had booked crossings that evening and were going to miss them. What did they expect?! Ever tried leaving silverstone after the Grand Prix
I was lucky to go with seasoned Le Man Vets. Pretty sure the route and timings they used sorted us out because we had zero traffic, and didn’t arrive feeling knackered either way.
Tuesday we left. Had dinner in Portsmouth (1:30hr from me). Got the 11pm sleeper ferry to Caen. Woke up the next...
PS sucks to be the British guy who borrowed his mates C63 to go to Le Mans, did a load of donuts in a field, went off to go for a beer and this was happening to aformentioned C63….
Despite working in the industry and specifically doing a lot of SportsCar stuff… this was my first year at Le Mans. What struck me was just how good the racing is now the hypercar class is amalgamated better, huge field and the BOP seems to be better than ever.
Few people on beer mountain...
Yes they, and quite a few others, were running rings around the little Lotus out there! So it was nice to occasionally overtake a couple things :ROFLMAO:
Lotus did well at its second track day. A 2.5-3hr trip to Manchester to stay at a friends, then we all did the 2 hour hop across to Anglesey in the worst rain I’ve ever driven this car in. It was quite sketchy lol.
First time at Anglesey and heard it’s a bit of a tyre delete kit. However...
Was quite funny I was explaining to my non-Clio nerd friends how rare a Petrol Blue one is, only for another to appear halfway through the day 😂.
I think once you’ve tried the DS1.11 and like it, most pads feel a bit dead on initial bite compared. Some people don’t like the grabby feel of them...
Dont get me wrong its never meant to be my job, its just something I do for fun! But when I have a busy period of work I dont really have time for the fun as much! And when I do stuff, I dont always want the hassle of filming it, would rather enjoy it, if that makes sense! lol
I've been very s**t at YT lately. The amount of time, effort and money to invest is becoming difficult to justify. Especially as the traffic to my videos continue nosediving! lol
Its such a good car, really. Just fancied a change into something bigger with less effort to drive! Didnt need 2...
Yep! Got a lot of use up until a few weeks ago, managed to sneak space in a friends garage for now. MOT this month and then a service! Have at least one track day booked already this year, Hopefully more!
Swapped for a comfort wagon.
When people ask you what your dream car is, there's probably more than one. Well, thats my opinion anyway.
For me, a 911 was one of those. And I did own a 996 for a bit. The other was a Lotus Elise. Somewhere deep in a box in my dads garage there's a photo of me sat in an S1 back when they...
I wont hear a bad word said about Jonny or the Smith and Sniff podcast! They're my staples on YT at the moment.
Another +1 for the Juicebox stuff too.
Not long ago I found this chap, probably already in this thread. I find his presenting style fantastic, and I do enjoy watching him revive old...
Sadly, the viewing figures speak for themselves on this.
If I put my face on with some bright clickbait text the video will ALWAYS do better. No matter the content.
Shameless plug but I went to the ring last weekend. It was good as ever !
Nürburgring trip! + Autobahn in the REMAPPED Golf GTI Performance
My mate was there in his car, and Misha took it out twice. Yes we did boss the karaoke.
Evening all.
Spotted these on eBay a while back and interested if anyone’s tried them? Obviously would be HELL on the road but it’s a track only car.
It’s that or the PMS bush/strengthening kit...
Yeah Im not a fan, never have been, there are worse wheels but these are pretty awful.
Na, dont want to go bigger.
Wasnt clicking for me. After spending loads on wheels, tyres, suspension, it still wasnt quite right. I've always missed my 7.5 GTI so ended up getting a nice low mileage one...
Fucked the Up! GTI off after 5 months. Took a bit of an L but not as bad as you might think, between mine being delivered and now they’ve stopped production so that probably helped. That and I’d only done about 1800 miles!
Replacement is this.
I had a MK7.5 GTI on lease back in 2017-19...
Turns out if you leave something plugged in for a week you drain the battery.
Bought this a few weeks back. It’s been used 3 times, all failed. Total garbage.
All it did was drain the battery more. Even jump leads didn’t work!
Stuck the battery on charge and we are back in business. Good...
I just remember there being a V6 with Leather that was an ex Renault UK Car at some point.
I remember back in 05/06 my dad had a couple of Alfa 159s. The second one he bought from a company directly importing them from Alfa, basically meant he could spec it up and it still be within his...
