Harry's lap timer is a pretty good app for it. Very simple to use and keeps track of all your laps and sessions.
I won't be up until April now. Still building mine! There's a fair few clios at knockhill now. No doubt be one or two that are on here will be up.
Lol! Well if you can't find the wire, it connects into the clocks so once I find the right pinout, could just cut that wire in the loom and earth it behind the dash (providing it actually works anyway!)
Not got the diagrams to have a look at just now but I THINK you just need to make sure the wire that used to go to the handbrake is earthed. Looks like the handbrake switch is just a simple make/break which breaks the circuit when you lift the handbrake and throws up the light.
That wire...
Hmm, I'll hope for the best then lol!
You should be able to bridge a couple of wires behind the dash to get rid of the stop and handbrake light I think btw, going from what I could make out on the wiring diagrams anyway.
Weird! Both I've seen have the ABS lights and the STOP and handbrake lights on. Have you completely done away with the full ABS loom from the fuse box to the multiplug on the pump and abs sensors?
Thank f**k that dash comes out easy then. I'm lazy and impatient, which was half the problem taking the old one out!
Cheers mate, I've got the system for them all but it's kind of hit or miss with what diagrams are applicable to what models so will keep that in mind!
Spent Sunday there ripping the interior of the old car apart, and removing the fan assembly from under the scuttle panel to try and get all the blower/heater matrix s**t transferred over, but that pretty much ended in disaster when I got impatient and decided to cut the lower dash out around the...
I think they look better white lol! Not that they'll stay that way being track wheels mind you. Will more than likely end up a different colour after they're caked in brake dust 😂
I hope it's meeting both your expectations :tongueout:
P.s. I absolutely hate the pair of you for...
Has anyone managed to sort the issue of having the various dash warning lights illuminated after removing ABS? Or is anyone still having issues with it? I've sat for the past hour tracing wiring diagrams because I don't want the same issues on my car, and think I might have found a non-pikey...
We're organising a drive up Glenshee start of next month as part of CS Areas Day 2016. Fantastic roads up that way and should be a great day out for those who fancy it. More details in here: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/apr-2-2016-scotland-cs-areas-day-glenshee-drive-stirling.789676/
Some...
@Dan.G and @16v-clio above are both Aberdeenshire way too mate. You guys could always meet up and head down to Braemar/Glenshee and we can all meet up around there? Tried to appeal to folks further north with this one too compared to the usual stuff going on around the cental belt.
We'll more...
I'm pretty sure you need to go into developer options and make sure 'usb debugging' is enabled for the phone to show up as a usb device where you can access files and stuff. That should help with the lack of options there. Then you might be able to use the program in the link above to try and...
So aye, proper update from today.
Planned on starting about half 8/9ish this morning, and have the engine out by about 10 or 11, leaving loads of time to do the flywheel/clutch and fit the cup alternator setup (minus the power steering pump). Midday came and went and then engine was still...
Awesome mate! No one has any excuses now if you're willing to make the journey over! Lol
I think we'll more than likely drive up and through Braemar, maybe head up aviemore way and back down the A9. Will have to just see how time is. Clocks go forward before then though so loads of light later...
Is there any reason why nobody has removed the internals of the valve setup where to column connects and keep the pipes connected on the rack?
I'm not near a rack just now to have a look around it so expecting a simple answer like it can't be opened up lol, but curiosity got the better of me here.
I'm not sure what is/isn't road legal anymore really. I know some track tyres like the AO48s recently had their E marking removed, not sure what else though. I know people rate Dunlop Direzzas and Yoko A048s highly. The Direzzas appear to pretty much be regarded as the best, but they're pricey...
Out of interest why do your dry tyres have to be road legal? Get a decent set of wet tyres (Toyo R1Rs, Yoko AD08s etc) and use them on the road too. Frees up a few options for dry tyres (like Yoko A048s which are no longer road legal)
I know. The cold weather and not having anywhere decent to paint it is my main problem. And the fact I'm getting to the stage of just wanting a working car to use now lol.
If it doesn't look good I'll maybe see about painting it at the end of this year!
More progress again this weekend. Can't seem to get one good day at it so it's slow progress here and there, but I swapped what I could of the wiring loom from the engine bay (front lights, main bulkhead connection, fusebox etc), then got the subframe etc all back on and the car into a rolling...
