Reading up on the web, a lot of parcels from the EU are being delivered to the customer, with a bill for customs and VAT. (Woman charged £134 vat and duty on clothes of £274 she ordered from EU- she refused the items and sent them back )

Had a remap there couple years back- very helpful, told me a couple issues (One being LAMBDA sensor only working occasionally- needs pre heat or something) and mapped it great

Hoping that my rear brakes are sticky on the sliders, or could it be the piston is sticky?
Any idea how you can tell which it is
I will remove the sliders and silicone grease up, but is it a rebuild if there is a problem with the piston?

Throttle body can be very tempremental, I am on my 3rd- and thats been refurbed- new butterfly and bored out
Could also be ICV Idle control valve. I cleaned mine, was good for a while, then went bad, replaced it and it was fine
Could be other things engine related Obvs.

When i removed my throttle body for a refurb. i bought an A4 sheet of gasket material pretty cheap off ebay bout £7 , and just cut out a new one by tracing round the throttle body

Yes, have had 3 throttle cables, and the best one was the cheapest, most inferior quaility...
Ive now swapped the HIDs over to Bosch HB3's.
They are yellowish in appearance but brighten the way enough, probly better than the HIDs tbh
May just swap back after MOT, not sure. But least Ive got all i need. Thanks

Dont recall a heat shield ever being there- heat shield starts at the exhaust...

Bought my 172 Phase 1 in October 2016 with the HID (Cheap) kit in place. It worked, so i left it alone
Today it failed the MOT as apparently HID has to be OEM and needs washers and the like, or it fails. So thats new
