I’ve got PS Cup 2’s on at the moment, I’ve do two track days on them and although there is plenty of tread left they have lost a lot of their grip and feel. Guessing it’s how they are used regards heat cycles?
If I remember correctly the options were, cup chassis pack (think it has a quicker steering rack too?), Cup spoiler pack, Recaro’s (but you lost the leather rear bench), and sat nav. LY and PB were expensive paint options. Trophy is the limited edition model based on a cup car.
Brought one brand new in 2005, artic blue with both cup packs. Sold it in 2010 after 35k miles. Absolutely loved it and regretted selling it ever since ?
Had a 182 ff and loved it on road and track. Got a 200 ff and love it even more! It’s a more grown up package and slightly quicker on track, just not on the straight though.
Reversing and touch the brakes there is a loud knock from engine/drivers side wheel. Then go forward another knock but more from engine area. Car is driving sweet as, any ideas?
I’ve done TF’s laps before but not a full track day. Track days are different format with a lot of faster cars and driver abilities. Happy just to stick with TF laps and maybe some GP sessions.?
I’m sure it’s been discussed before, however I’m after a performance/sound exhaust upgrade in the new year. Think I’m going down the KTR manifold-decat-cat back route, however had a decated Milltek exhaust on my old Clio 182 which was good and is the Akrapovic system worth it? Will be doing...
Not sure if it’s an issue but this is the highest my temperature gauge gets after spririted driving. My old 182 all ways went to the middle and never moved. Read something about temp stat not work and leaving the whole cooling system open?
Thanks George, car is purely a weekend/track day toy so not worried about comfortable commuting etc. Got a major service with cambelt and all fluids coming soon. Needs new engine mounts but would prefer Powerflex over OE from what I've read and would like to get it all done at the same time.
Cheers guys, was thinking of getting another set of wheels with more track day biased tyres nearer the time, but now sounds like a must. Are the brakes a week point on the car? Read the standerd set up is pretty good on road and track.
