I’ve got a set of Cooksport springs (early top mount) if intrested? Was happy with this set up on cup dampers but the front dampers started leaking so I got coilovers.
Got a sweet deal on some brand new 8J cup racer Speedline’s, has them wrap in 225/45 Michelin Cup 2’s. Still managed to retain my 19mm spacers so well chuffed!
If you’re using the car for track Steve, I suggest the best thing to do if it hasn’t been done already is polybush all the engine and gearbox mounts. This made a big difference for me, however you do get more vibration through the car.
Had a great day, it was very greasy this morning and kept loosing the back end in turn it. Once it dried set the front 6 for hard and the rear 12. The car felt much better, and the drive home on this setting wasn’t to bad at all. Need do some fast road driving to complete the picture but happy...
Arrived and on. Just had the geo done and all good. Haven’t driven it apart from to the garage, not sure what to expect but less harsh than my Cooksport springs with cup dampers. Track day at Bedford tomorrow so will mess about with damping then.
Who are you guys insured with? Just had a renewal quote from Esure and it’s gone up £50 (£295). It’s a MK3 200 and I’m 36. It’s a garaged second car and I do about 5k miles a year. No claims or convictions.
That’s a very kind off mate but I’m down in Swindon so quite a journey. Look forward to your thoughts once you’ve fitted them! I’ve been given a lead time of 2/3 weeks.
Will do mate, not driven a 197/200 on coilovers, maybe a good opportunity to have a car meet up? They got a pretty good spec on them, just hope the quality is there!
