Any substantial + and - feed for anything under the dash that's easily accessible. Depending if you want it to work on the ignition or constantly will decide what wires you would choose.
Put a fuse on the + wire whatever you do though.
Yeah as above really, I have seen the Yokohama a048r's being used as high as 50psi on the rear of FWD cars to get the rear moving around in one make championships at knockhill.
I eco above comment, great bits of kit.
If you're worried.... Letting off while under steering will cause weight change and oversteer.... oversteer while driving will will be cured by accelerating.
First rule of FWD... Keep the foot in lol.
Yeah I have seen a few of them, there's a nice purple one going about.
I thought the same, I'm pretty sure they are just stuck on with double sided tape as I can't find fixings. I'll probably break them taking them off anyway haha.
They're very Japanese in the cabin, they would be a much more refined car with some more sound deading but that's the reason they're so light.
Iirc Toyota done a supercharged version standard, much like the Exige engine but they were limited numbers or imports.
I don't plan to, I actually like them. They're a factory TRD extra... I'll probably have them off to recondition the headlights though and I might change my mind.
Look into premier products, I just bought custom fitted mats for my Celica and you can customise them to your hearts content.
I went with premium pile for the interior and luxury for boot carpet and it all came to £55 delivered but I got refunded £5 because they never fitted the grey trim to...
I finally got a chance to give the inside a good going over.
What I started with.
I only used a 50/50 mix of G101 for everything. The leather and plastics were quite grubby.
I pulled out a few things to make cleaning easier.
I used that opportunity to go and get my tyres...
That's from lower model Clios mate and thank fcuk for that as they're a total barsteward to fit.
Poly ARB bushes are a gimmick IMO and I challenge anyone that can tell me they feel the difference.... they only make sense if the OEM are stupid money or they're from a distance car that is known...
From your list.
Discs - okay.
Shocks, get your membership and google trade parts Wolverhampton and you'll get discounted original parts. Shocks are circa £40 a corner, wishbones are about the same for each side.
Springs - buy Eibach sport lines, they're an improvement on standard ride and are a...
If you're on it in a Clio with standard ratios I find 3rd unbalances the car too much into duffus as your just about buzzing the limiter if you're entering at 80mph which causes oversteer and although 4th doesn't feel quicker it is, for me anyway. The minis change down to 3rd and nail it before...
I haven't had the chance to do much on this the last week but the lift bolts, cam cover paint and the exhaust extension will happen on Tuesday if Prague doesn't kill me this weekend, hopefully I'll resolve the clutch/gear shift squeak and the mani heatshield rattle too. I also insured it for the...
You have left one of the pipes off the inlet, probably the one that goes to the carbon canister, or you haven't stewed down the inlet properly.
Basically you have an airless somewhere.
The best description is a picture.
To update.... the tyres, rocker gasket and mat set have arrived, the wrong mat set have been sent out as far as materials and edging's, that's to be sorted out.
The common manifold heatshield rattle, clutch fork and gear change squeak have reared their head...
With my name being Morgan I have always said I will have one of these and hope to at some point in later life.
There are two very fast classic V8 Morgan's that compete in the Scottish Sports & Saloons at Knockhill. They're lapping around 57s, to put that into perspective, there are modified...
Today I set about rebuilding the calipers and a few other jobs.
Started by fitting the piston seal's and then testing fitting the dust boot.
And also the springclip.
Removed both of those as they were fine and fitted the pistons.
I then refitted the dust boot and spring clip with the...
^^^ exactly that.
It will only cost about £300 in parts or thereabouts but it's all genuine stuff and it's better solution than throwing in £500-600 suspension to worn out suspension.
I wouldn't say it's the 'best' setup possible but it's definitely what I will do if I have another road one for the occasional track day. That setup is when I had the most fun in the various incarnations of mine.... not the quickest but the most fun.
Eibachs sport lines and RARB are an ideal road and occasional track setup IMO, I hate driving rigid cars on the road though. The springs actually improve the crashiness of the standard set and the RARB has no affect on the damping or anything tbh until you start chucking it into corners...
Will do.
The brakes are to be re-built tomorrow and the exhaust sorted completely I'm hoping. I bought some felt pads today to stop some rattles from the bout area too.
It won't be long until I paint, clean and polish the thing.
