Len, I had dissected the internals of the tailgate literally the day before I secured the panels from Nick, initially i only wanted the bonnet but as Nick wasn't happy to split the panels I snapped them both up while I considered what to do with my tailgate.
i think of I hadn't just gutted the...
You will be lucky to find a complete boss that is removable all in one short of a
a weld on option.
most quick release options are an adaptor that fits between the OMP boss (or the like) and the steering wheel.
Blimey, last time I saw a set of those wheels was on a R19 16v Chamade I had about 15 years ago.
nice wheel, don't look so bad on your car, but personally there are better choices.
10/10 for breaking the mould the buddy ;)
De-assemble the boss Will, then file out the back section a little just to allow them a little more grace to fit, once tucked through, reassemble the boss and locate onto the splines.
you got those subframes fitted yet? ;)
Cheers Jonny.
unfortunatley, I'm the worlds worst person at taking pics and keeping on top of a resto thread, but here's a few more random pics of small progress over the past few weeks.

Sorry Mark, I didn't spot your reply before mine.
food for thought, thank you.
James, that bad?
i wouldn't have thought once out on track that it would be so bad!
tbh, if its just heavy and a struggle for shuffling on/off the trailer and into the unit then I can handle that, but if its...
Dave, its my trophy but no longer a road car, and highly unlikely to ever pass an MOT to be road worthy again now.
aircon already gone, next tasks are to do away with the ABS and PAS.
we have used a Saxo electric pump on a track focus in the past, but in all honesty I don't see a reason to...
Yesterday evening I set about removing (or atleast started) the seat bars ready for the proper seat rails.
finished lining up the bonnet so the catches could be fine tuned (now off to the paint shop) and removed all of the un-needed weight in the front bumper before attaching it with my hole...
Just a curious one for those that have done away with the Power Steering.
i know you can buy the delete pump and new pully kit from Pure Motorsport, but what steering rack have you guys changed over to?
Scutch, that's Wenny's car, an unbelievable machine.
now pushing out 680bhp with a 6 speed sequential gearbox, in a shell that really couldn't be any lighter if he tried, stupidly quick on the qtr mile!
Stu, it was in a 20 year anniversary shoot at bruntingthorpe and then a mini feature both...

There is a big section up in the roof above the front seats, mine came in at 2.9kg.
Several sections of it in the front footwells, along the tunnel, under the front seats, up the section that comes up to the rear bench, a bit more in the boot floor, a section either side in the rear qtrs, 2...
If lined up, it will almost fall into place.
remove the boss and look at the splined section inside it, then take a look at the splines around the end of the steering shaft, you will probably kick yourself for not spotting it ;)
Ive used the OMP boss on two 182's now, no problem.
with the wiring, all i used was a file just to open up the hole a smidgen, it hardly needs anyhing, more just to remove the paint and general rough edges.
with the splines, have you ensured they are lined up correctly, there is a section that...
Fran, I must admit, I gave up that night and didn't look anymore (and still havent to this day) as it was getting a bit silly for no real reason, all in the past ;)
And thank you :)
ill try and dig up a pic of the misses 182 on the 2118's, with the stock shocks with Eibach springs, and then...
Nick, just been tipped off about this, so I've fired a text over to you.
a few bits I'd like if possible please, I can nip over anytime and pick them up.... All goes to the Trophy project buddy ;)
