Have you done this yet Mark?
ive lined up the pins today and started to mark out for the catches to go on the tailgate.
metal stripped out where its not needed on other parts of the tailgate, all wiring that's not needed in the tailgate gone aswell, and traced back up to the dash, then...
studs make life so much easier anyhow, i even converted the misses 182 over just for the ease factor.
many use the Pure Motorsport kit as its highly praised, but there are other companies out there that can supply what you need at a fraction of the cost, just depends on the budget and what you...
if you are about to buy longer bolts, its an ideal time to change over to a stud and nut setup.
it will be a lot easier instead of trying to line up a wheel bolt through the wheel, then the spacer and getting it perfect to the wheel ;)
Hey Mark,
I've done all of those buddy, the floor sections took forever, atleast until i mastered it, I can now more of less get it off in strips to save it going everywhere.
not the nicest of jobs to do again tho, i don't think I'd offer to help anyone else do it again, lol.
i did the one on the roof, and started the ones on either side of the car in the rear qtrs the other day.
all comes off quite easily if you have a decent heat gun and a decorating scraper.
the rest of the car was done a few weeks back, including the engine bay side of the bulkhead.
couldnt...
i cant see the pictures from work Len, but ill have a good ol' look a bit later.
from the above comments, sounds as though you have done a good job tho, well done mate ;)
Yesterday....
for the focus, nothing other than just walking up to it and checking it was locked.
for the 182, gave it a good ol' wash and hoover after we took the dogs over to the local lakes, the car was in a sorry muddy state afterwards so it deserved a little tlc.
for the trophy, removed...
Possibly one for Chip or Mike as I know they have always been quite close to James (JMS).
my trophy, going by the paperwork and a quick chat with Sir Dave, has a JMS 98Ron ECU file within it, but the details of said file are not known.
the question is, would you know if this file is suitable to...
Must admit, I'm half tempted with a set of the TD 1.2's aswell.
Morgan, I'd say the anthracite will be a better suited colour, and certainly more forgiving in the environment you intend to be using the car.
bet you can't wait to be on your way for the skiing trip now after a day like that on...
Pretty sure there is 6 screws from when I took mine of earlier, unless the trophy spoiler has 2 extra!?
2 of, at each end of the of the spoiler, and the 2 more towards the middle ish housed within the angled black holders.
as a quick helper if you do cut them down.
get yourself a fresh clean nut to wind on to the stud before you cut it down, once you have cut it and tidied up the end of the thread, winding the nut off will help to ensure the thread pattern is retained.
Just a simple quickie...
what size/rating battery have you track boys opted for?
im thinking of the Varley red top 25, but a mate with a track based Cossie focus is saying i should go for a 40!
to me I'd have thought the 25 would be perfect for the requirements of a clio.
what are you...
I run AST's, and I also have 2118's with an et43.
i do run a 5mm spacer (therfor they sit as a et38 would) and no rubbing issues.
i only use the spacer for looks, nothing touches without them, also ran the AST's on the misses 182 with the standard wheels and a 205/45/16, and no fitting or...
Completed mine yesterday, within reason.
all of the airbag/pretensioner bits where unraveled from the main looms, slowly looped into its own loom out the top of the dash and then just insulated and secured where the airbag used to be.
Ive still retained the OBD plug and 12v socket down below...
