It's all good, few last things to sort , clean and lube all the brakes up ( been sat for abit , adjust handbrake. Fix airbag light and finish off the clean up. Yes you seen that right , it's not filthy anymore
Was going to say, done a few where I've just replaced the PS tank and done a flush/ fluid replacement. That's assuming it's a belt driven pump, not the EPAS fluid pump.
Also worth checking which fluid it takes , ford for some daft reason on certain years used green type fluid and other years...
@DaveDreads no probs at all dude. Always around. You know that. I'll get little guy Martin to make the kennel a shiner tommorow whilst I sort the last little niggles I have with it
Told you , nowt to buy me bud. In times of need. Made me feel better seeing you act like a little kid after the short bonnetless madmax drive
P.s that wasn't intended to sound bent as f**k. X
Check where the loom track up the side of the battery tray area , and make sure the white block connector in the bottom of the fuse box isn't all crapped up
If your on Facebook, join the clio16valver group. Plent of chaps on there have the diagrams for mk1s. In the meantime , id be checking earth points , pulling relays / fues out one by one and cleaning up the contacts. One of my mk1s had a electrical gremlin with the fuel pump intermittent...
Seeing this popping up frequent lately. We have a ford repair center not far from our garage. It's not just The 2.3 suffering either. I've had a 1.0 ECoboost apart, and a 1.6 ( although this one was over revved )
It's like rovers K series all over again....
Well , found abit of time today to fix a few things , and start re routing engine loom to make a neater that factory job. Glow plug loom to run under fuel rail now rather than over, as shown in pics
Secondly fixed the annoying oil leak for the 3 time.... thought I'd fixed it before but it...
tried to be sensible by buying a diesel ' 150 ' 1.9 cdti astra .... got bored of that even with 192hp at my right foot. Just handles like a barge.
Que mk1 Clio to ' try ' build another derv and I'm now sick of welding that
Yeah Alex loved this car but he's more into fast turbo clios. BUT...
Not sure yet , possibly some comfy buckets. I have some evo 5 seats hanging around but unsure if they'll work without to much hassle
Oh and credit for the work so far is the original owner @AlexW
Well as some may know, I have a forever on going mk1 16v Clio that I'm still converting to a 1.9dci 6sp track car, but due to the amount of work coming through the doors ATM I'm slacking.....
Roll on a year or so and now I've acquired another frankin derv.
I give to you the ONLY 1.9dci...
I had similar to this on my old Dci, just randomly did this when I parked up for 5mins. Had all the engine bay fuse box apart , cleaned all the relay pins and fuses, cleaned the big white connector in the bottom of the box and it seemed to fix it.
Ideally you need it plugging into Renault Clip...
Always got taught to run it upto temp, dump oil , change filter. Then run for 300-500 miles at verious loads ( not full throttle loading ) dump oil/ change filter , run after with proper spec oil and filter. Never had a problem. What usually kills rebuilt engines is labouring and no first oil...
You did but I could hear you nearly the other side of the feild ! It's like a beacon back to my tent from the toilets ... just judge how far the snoring is away .... PMSL
Yeah was a while , getting on over an hour. Can't say it was a bad idea with the pizza stall. All for trying new stuff at events.
I'd like to see a ' JP anti snore zone ' area implemented next year
