Im also not sure, i didnt use the OMP horn button, I had a 1.2 8v Phase 1 in my possession, with front fog lights, so swapped over the indicator stalk to relocate the horn
Yep, its as simple as that, match colours and you're away! Theres a couple of different methods of going at it though...
You can either chop the plug off the loom (vehicle side) then solder/crimp on the required female spade terminals to match the OMP horn button.
Or... You can salvage the...
On my 172, i had the same noise of hearing the motor going, but with a bit of knocking at the same time, turns out one of the linkage arms had sheared off at the end rendering the wipers immobile. If you can freely move both wipers by hand then this normally indicates a broken linkage.
How are well all securing these then? Been running mine for around 6 months now with it just hanging and wedged under the battery ground wire. Is it a case of zipties to the nearest panel or what? Noticed the rubber on my ramair is starting to split at the neck as well which is annoying :/
Fair enough about the VVT! Learn something new every day! Replaced the hose clamp on the breather rocker end a couple of months back in an attempt to sort this. I hadn't checked if the pipe was blocked, I'll do that. Is it anything to worry about or quite a common thing?
Hi All,
My car has a burning oil smell above 5000rpm, I've noticed this in 3rd or 4th gear. Mates following me reckon there's no blue smoke from the exhaust behind me, although they can smell it also? I know the VVT system kicks in around these revs. Dephaser and both belts and all...
Encountered an angry driver myself the other week, thankfully ended in no damage. Two cars in front of me on the main road doing 45 in a 60, I overtake and carry on as per. Nothing unusual. I take a slight detour off the main road to show my passenger where I crashed my golf a year before hand...
Hi,
Anyone know the part number/price for these? My studs have both snapped, one of them has disappeared and I've got one but left so best get the full set. Any one know? Cheers
Hi All,
Recently had a mate of mine mop my car to bring the paint back up, no idea what he used, i'm not an expert, some sort of Trade Auto Glym stuff. Anyways, here are some photos of it shining after its clean, Enjoy!
For me I have an annoying buzzing up near the interior light. There's a fan under the light which pulls air over a temperature sensor for the air con. You can replace it and stop the buzzing, or unplug it, or get used to it eventually like I did haha
They are indeed the original Renault lockers, car was complete standard with full service history when I got it and no receipt's mention a change. There's a sticker that's been slapped on the locker box (where strangely I always keep said key) if that helps?
Hi Guys,
I have no idea how, or when, but my locking wheel nut key is gone after and extensive search followed by anger. I know the Renault OEM locks were made by Farad, they supply replacement keys but the wait time is about 2 weeks from the continent. Now I've noticed on eBay, you can buy...
I've just had the same advisory to change mine out, luckily looks like its only starting to split. It seems there three different sizes of outer passenger side boot? Heard about stretch boots too? Anyone know what size is correct? I've heard about stretch boots too but if I have to split the...
No Pictures, But also thought I should mention i've uprated the brakes slightly. Went for Brembo HC Discs with Mintex M1144's on the front, with OEM discs and ABS Rings and Bearings with Brembo OEM pads on the rear. All topped off with Goodridge braided hoses and ATE Super gold fluid from...
Few updates to my car since the last time I posted about it!#
First off, i've fitted a KTEC Recessed Supersports exhaust, and i must say the sound is awesome, not too loud in my opinion but just right, not quite sitting in the recess properly, although this may be down to the accuracy of my...
A Few stolen images from google may help visualize this a bit better...
