Re: Ollie's Silver Cup - JMS RS2/428s/Wilwood/2118
Tut, so the day before you actually hand the car over to them they say you can't actually run the cams with the RS2! Why did they not know this ages ago when you bought the cams! I dont see why you can't just get all the bits fitted and then...
Oh dear mate, sounds a little similar to my engine not ideling but sounding better when revving and it was due to a poor connection on my TPS but it's all a little different because of the ecu and ITB's.
I don't mean to copy you but where did you get your LCD volt reader as the ones I can see...
I've removed my rear screen and rear 1/4 glass from my clio. Its pretty hard work but it can be done. Just need to get a strong bit of wire and use it as cheese cutter.
This is the cage i bough for my car
http://www.ybracing.co.uk/page1.php?sitepage=4&area4=&subarea=324&part=393
But it didnt actually look like this. I found the pictures are different to what you actually get. The only reason i actually know what my cage would looked like was because Laxy...
Hasnt this sort of modifing been taken over by things like the DUB scene?
So instead of putting huge body kits on cars people buy coilovers wind them all the way down and compare how much they scrape just from driving down the road!
Olnt just seen this thread, but the same thing happened to me on the motorway after i had had my car Mapped. Deffently a brown pant moment. I just sprayed a bit of WD40 on the spring mech on the itb's and it never happend again :)
But looks like you've had a crash from your avitar to maybe my...
Hmmm this is where i could have failed, i didnt see the securing nut as i thought it was just part of the track rod. I will attempt to man up now and give it another go.
I can get it out of the hub, but cant spin the arm.
400miles in 3 Months!!!
I've done 0miles in 12months :( :( :( :( :(
I agree on the wheels, that everyone bummmms those 2118's. I think the new wheels look alright actually :)
Does anybody have any tips to removing/adjusting seized track rod ends.
Now i'm running quite a bit of negative camber on the front wheels, i've now got lots of tow in so i have tryed adjusting the trackrod ends and they are seized onto the arms.
Have i missed somthing like a grub screw or...
I removed 100% of the standard wiring looms from my car and rewired it from scratch. If you want reliability then ditching the renanut looms is the way to go.
I would have thought the slope on the mani is so the filter doesnt touch the bonnet when its closed. Slam pannel would never fit with those bodies and 120mm trumpets.
So are you going to be putting the ITB's on a standard engine? Have you got any other engine plans?
You still using a Powerflex wishbone bush as your gearbox mount? lol
The Picture i saw of your car was on "BHP Trackdays Ltd" facebook page. Only one of yours from Cadwell
Ooooooooo, I have only just seen this thread. I love the pedal box
You have deffently gone for the best air filter on those ITB's ;) (snap)
Where did you the manifold from? Looks like its billet Alluminum with a taper. Not sure i have seen one of those before!
Keep up the good work, i look...
Oh so its a bullet camera type of recorder. I love the lense on video from Cadwell.
My Sony HD (hard Drive not High Def) camera cuts out when its attached to my roll cage. Even when i'm not going over bumps or shocking the thing it cuts out and its missed footage from some trackdays which is...
Errr its primer i belive!
Half-A-Job Chris we call him ;)
Oh and Daz what on earth is that noise when you've lifted off and slowing down? Sounds like you've left some spanners in you engine bay!
Nice upgrade mate, i do like red cars :)
Yeah the K-tec spoiler looks a million time better then the Cup Spoiler
But i personally think the stick on exhaust tips look gash!
WOAH! i saw a picture of your cars rear bumper!!!! I see your a dremal/anglegrinder fan :)
Get some pictures up soon as i've got my car as light as i can get it and want to see what you have done to yours :)
Yeah it's a real pain in the ar*s what has happened. Such a waist of a track day even if you get a new alt and Bat from the company.
Your new camera is so much better than your old set up, video see's so much more. Does it have a slightly fisheye lense?
Thanks :)
I can only comment of what I have used, it's best to do the job properly first time so it saves you doing It again if it goes all manky, so personally I'd get VHT paint :)
