Car is looking good! So your going down the ITB route then? ;) it's the best way!
The new headlights will make the front end look pretty mean!! :)
Did you book the Oulton trackday which I am on?
Dont mount it on the dash as if you stall the car then you have to think will you be able to reach it when your strapped into your seat.
Have those thing mounted to the left of your seat.
Hi Guys,
I'm running an Omex 600 ecu, and an Omex Coolant Temperature Sensor. I have no dash and i have made my own looms.
Is there a way i can show what the temp the engine is on one of these cheap LED screens...
Hopefully the driveshafts fix the problems you had!
Daz172cup made a custom gearbox mount, like yours, and it snapped something else because it was too stiff. Hoefully yours will be fine!
Yours turned out a LOT better than mine did a few weeks back. Have you made any modifications to the rear bumper bracket? I think my slicks rubbed on it so i cut them a bit.
Haha! I can't 100% remember but Areocatches don't fit sideways using the hole that I used! So I went up and down but my tale gate is pretty much a single skin and I had to use a rubber mallet to bash some of the tale gate flat so you can fit the screws in.
It can be done but have a good think...
Phew thanks chip, those figures were starting to make me sweat!!!
Haha, I mean when you say you have -3.5 deg of camber you have that figure on both wheels. So when you say you have 2mm of toe out i wasnt sure if you had it on both wheels or not.
I just wanted to make sure i get it done/do it...
Either way, its far too much!! I saw a few pictures from the trackday and its quite obvious that it had too much!
So if i want 2mm toe out on the front. Does that mean its 1mm each side?
I have the excact 172 cup Non ABS set up on my track only 182.
Did a trackday last week and i noticed the rear disks were completly rusty still and the fronts were getting lots of abuse.
The set up was probably good because it was very wet but i'd like to actually have a tiny bit of rear...
I have a picture and its defiantly in degrees!
you can physically see the wheels are pointing out quite a bit. But if I'm honest I just believed that they had done it right!
Anyway I'll get it changed soon, Chip it's just a track car so doesn't get driven on the road. I'm just trying to get as...
Oh and the car did actually handel ok, it was very slippy and the car had some fun lift off oversteer. But i only drove for just over 1 hour and then got black flagged for been too loud (at Bedford)
So please note I took my car to a local company to get my tracking set for my track car.
car has -3.5 camber and I wanted 2mm toe out.
On the hunter machine it said -2.00 for the toe. Is that 2mm out or 20mm out?
Can someone confirm please?
So are those rear AST's brand new? The Lower part where the bolt goes through is just rubber on mine and Fred has said that these rubber parts can fail. Yours looks like a new design!
What springs rates did you go for.
Just put my Girlfriends Mini Cooper up for sale. Thought i would post it up on here as its a cheap to run but good fun to drive too.

Those spacers look nice!
What ET are the wheels your going to be using?
As i have 10mm rear hub spacers, and my Ultraleggers rub the arches a little with 3 deg of negative camber.
Neil when was the last time you went out in a fast clio on track?
Dont sell anything on the car until after my trackday in Feb. Come out in the car and it may spur you on to finishing your own when the time is right!!
