Thanks the car was going quite well at oulton, I was using R888's in the videos. Not used my slicks yet!
The car handles very well but its when i'm going really fast round the corners it understeers a little and i'l like it to be a bit more aggressive on the turn in! I will try one thing at a...
Well Oulton Park does have a weigh bridge but i totally forgot to take it there! I've allways aimed for 800kg but i suspect it might be a little heavier!
The Ultraleggers + Slicks are 20kg lighter than my F1's and r888's.
Front Camber = -3.45
Front Toe = 0.40 (toe out)
Tyre Pressure = 30psi (hot)
Rear Camber = 3.0 Roughly
Rear Toe = not sure, a little toe in though
Tyre Pressure = 30psi (hot)
Suspension is AST sportline 2's (race set up)
About half way on the damping settings
Fully soft on the rear...
I have the cheepo set up at the rear.
So i have 2 small washers to give me about -3.0 camber and then what ever the standard toe is! i assume your going to say run some toe out?
Yes its just a little heater, but its for demisting the windscreen. I dont actually think i need it though as theres enough air flow though the car not to mist up the screen when its raining!
Oulton on the 25th of June?
I do notice my passengers pressing the imaginary brake peddle when coming to a corner! So maybe a footrest might give them something to press against lol.
Yeah i've had it quite a long time!! Be good to be on track with some more clios! I've got Oulton Park on the 25th of June with Easy track...
Fitted Areo catches to the boot
After my Bedford trackday where we found the battery was nackered i bought i new one!
I also found that the alternator was trying to make a run for it with the bolts comming out!!!!
This was my simple dash before i fitted my Volt reader
This is with...
I'm rubbish at updates these day!
but as some of you may know I did finish the car and I managed to get to Bedford on the 9th of Feb
i had a pretty bad tracking settings and with a combination of cold R888's and very skippy conditions it was a bit of a handful!
[vid
cutting a long story short...
Oh right!
The car will start, but my volts display on my homemade dash says around 12v and as the car runs the volts drop off until the car dies after a few minutes of driving!
the only way I could drive was to bodge a Battery Booster pack onto the battery and do a 15minute session on track...
So i've been having some alternator / battery issues on my trackcar.
What does the very thin wire that goes to the alternator actually do?
Is it just to power the light on the dash or does it spike the Alternator into charging the battery?
Just to note i have custom made engine & Interior...
Yes Standard Calipers, the brakes work very well but i dont like the fact the most of the peddle does nothing!
I will try to bleed the brakes again with the Cup Bias/Compensating valve tied up!
Does anybody know what could be causing my brake peddle to be so soft for 3/4's of the travel and only the final 1/4 actually does anything!
I have all new copper brake lines, Braided hoses, 172 cup Master cylinder, Brake servo & bias valve. The front pads have quite a bit of pad left and the...
I'll have a look at mine tomorrow, but i recon mines got quite a bit of thread. How do you even adjust the platform my C-Spanners dont fit i dont think.
So the engine in my track only 182 is complete standard and with ITB's
Its going to spend most of its time up in the revs and so my recent thought was to treat myself to a set of ARP bolts.
But the engine is standard internally so are they actually worth doing just on there own or should i...
