Forgot to mention the exclusive in scarab green - they made 172 of these in the UK.

    The PH1 172 Appreciation Thread.

They range from as little as £500 for one with rust in the sills (typical issue) that needs lots of work and belts etc doing all the way up to £7k+ for a mint low miles one in the rarer colours - that's if you can find someone willing to sell (sunflower yellow). You can find the colours and...

    Ash's Ph1 172

Love it, great buy! I bought a sunflower off of Dean and he’s a great guy, really looks after his cars so I’m sure you’ve got a good one here - made all those mods to my titanium and it drives so nicely with all the suspension refreshed - you’ll love it!

Make your own Oz F1 Centre Caps

I just used 3DPrintDirect.co.uk for a set of these using the .stl file ~ £27 so not cheap but they are very good quality.

    Nath's RB track car build

Just read your thread, good work so far. I couldn't quite figure out why you scrapped the sunflower shell though, if it was a cat C/D was it bent out of shape?

    B-shaw’s PH1 Exclusive

Red would pop out more from under the alloys but I think body coloured with white lettering to stand out would look classier. As an alternative I think black with silver lettering would match the side trims and could look quite good.

Return of the Storm Grey 172 track car

Awesome write up, I really like how you took what was already a unique car and built upon it, the spec is impressive, what do you have planned next?

    Stu's Sunflower Ph1 172.

Just read through the whole thread, the sunflower is immense! Can’t be too many ph1s that have undergone a full underbody freshen up.

    B-shaw’s PH1 Exclusive

Read your thread start to finish and I really love your exclusive, it looks epic - doing the terras in bronze was the perfect contrast to the scarab green paintwork...even the private plate adds to the look. Glad to see you’ve stuck with it. Looking forward to seeing the 944 project thread for...

    mintno1's Ph1 172 & Ph2 172 Cup Progress Thread

Just read this all, great read and two lovely cars, was sorry to read about your iceberg though. Nice to have two so you can have the ph1 as a garage queen and experiment on the cup.

    16" OZ F1s, 15" OZ F1 and other Phase 1/2 Clio Parts

Yeah, they didn't fetch much (£20), some dude wanted them for a staggered setup on his MR2!! I used one as a spare wheel so I didn't lose too much on them.

What trolley jack does everyone use?

I've got the orange Halfords 2 tonne one. If I was buying again I'd go for something else. It's slow to jack up, doesn't always jack high enough (I tend to use it with a block of wood to spread the weight and get more height) and one of the front wheel bolts actually unscrewed from too much back...

    Matt's PH1 172 Restoration Project

That brings things just about up to date in terms of work done so far but I have quite a few parts sat around waiting to go on including powerflex black dogbone mount, inner/outer ARB and steering rack bushes, OEM inner track rods, OEM wishbones and a powdercoated ARB. Unfortunately I managed...

    Matt's PH1 172 Restoration Project

Thanks for all the kind words, I didn't get round to posting an update at the weekend but I have a few pictures of the work I've done on the engine bay to date. The bay was very dirty and in need of a decent clean. The car had an aftermarket K&N filter on, which, combined with the Magnex twin...
