no they were standard ACL's, they caused "the issue" on both PEC and Arrow (and i assume they'll do the same on others!) bearings are basically too big!
100% the problem in my opinion, they give too much clearance (3thou! which is about 0.85mm in modern) when fitted, swap to normal and you get 1.5thou, checked it on Arrow's CMM machine, but plasti'd up fine (hate that too!)
Same as when the megane boys put 400+bhp through a stock rad, yeah it works but to make more power = more heat and the stock rad ain't going to keep up (in my opinion!) but people don't want to spend £500+ on a decent rad because it doesn't add anymore power!

yes crank sensor sends signal to ecu so it know when to fire what
what are the lights on the dash doing? give the small relays in the engine fuse box a wiggle
