To conclude my original post I 'finally' decided on the PMS racing exhaust system including a sports cat. Not the cheapest but as others have mentioned a well engineered system. Ordered it today, looking forward to getting it fitted!!

Budget going out of the window, I know that feeling! Did you get the PMS sports cat? I was planning to get the full system including the sports cat so it would pass MOT's. I think they tend to be generous with their DB readings at Thruxton.

I completely agree. The R26 will cost a lot more to run especially on track as its far heavier (brakes/tyres) but is easy to modify due to the turbo. I previously had a Megane RS250 which was quick but requires a different driving approach as you don't hold the gears like the NA Clio. I...

Great project, and enjoy Thruxton its a great track. I was considering the PMS exhaust system but thought it might be too loud for Thruxton. I will be interested to see what your DB reading is, it might encourage me to go and buy one!

UPDATE - As planned we fully charged the battery and then kept the charger connected while we attempted to reload the RS tuner ECU map. Thankfully this time it bloody worked! So THANKS all, panic over. Car drives better as well.

Yes it's written 0000 0000. I've have fully charged the battery and will put the charger on slow charge during the upload. We will attempt later on this afternoon. Thanks for the help!

Owned my Clio 182 for 2.5 years and retired it from daily duties about 6 months ago. Its now a 2nd car which I used for track days. I can't see me getting rid of it anytime soon! I wish I bought one of these about 10 years ago when I opted for a Octavia vRS instead.
