Update
So with the race weekend fast approaching at Donnington in the 12th August I have just finished fitting some new bits!
First to go on was the new hubs which look and amazing piece of kit from @NorthloopCup I think it's the first shiny bit to ever get fitted to the car!
Car sits wider...
That's the one @Tony Hunter is with us he is a bad influence to us all haha
Depending on your diary we have an invitation day at Silverstone in October anyone is welcome.
@robzracing
Great read!
I race in the Tricolore Trophy in the production plus class.
Like a few people have said up here really unlucky with the car on some occasions!
Are you still in the 750mc now?
Hi
Asking for a friend he is looking to purchase a 197 with Recaro's he has found one but has a noticeable rip in the seat.
Can anyone suggest best ways to patch or fix? And a rough estimate on price?

UPDATE
So today suspension arrived.
Old suspension was collected to be sent to its new owner along with strut Brace.
Rear ARB being collected on Thursday.
Had a load of fun getting the gmhub nut off the front and the rubbish little grub screws that's hold the discs on....
Then had a...
UPDATE
So having plunged into the racing seen at the end of last year it has been going really well finding the limits of the car with the little budget I had.
The start of July saw me at Rockingham where I would be lieing if I was to say I came away happy.
The car felt really sluggish...
Update + Video
So had a successful weekend racing at Oulton park (the local circuit)
Few updates to come on the car in the next month so will add some updates to the thread with new pets for the car!
I have the video for race 1 here started 15th finished 11th I think.
Thanks
Had a great weekend racing at Castle Combe haven't really had time to update he thread much it is onto Oulton Park next on the 27th May for the Tricolore Trophy which should also be a great weekend.
As some of you will be a aware a fellow racer and Clio man had a series accident in race 2 and...
Oh yeah it's a different ball game, I also did it as I was getting bored of the car doing track days....when racing I am now probably a few seconds quicker on laps.
The feeling of being on the grid is amazing and extremely nervous.
Only probably is you just want to spend spend spend on the car...
Long story....been having issues with car jumping in and out of 3rd on downshift....just eliminating all possibilities and this one was the linkage hitting the lambda sensor when in 3rd gear then the vibration for the engine movinng the sensor and knocking it out of gear.
Simple question
I run a 172 Decat which as everyone will know has the 2 holes for Lamba sensors...
Do I need to run them both? The one at the rear (not the one near the manifold) is causing me problems.
What will happen if I run with it out?
The car is track use only not on the road!
Thanks
Anyone have any hints and tips on how to fit?
Seems easy from the fitting guide however I'm sure there will be a few snags along the way.
PMS says put it in reverse to line it up, does this work better?
Thanks Josh
Out with the old and in with the new!
PMS solid mount to replace the standard one.
Just need to relocate the ecu now as it was mounted on top of the battery carriage.
Also fitted some new rear discs and pads.
It's running somewhere in the range of 2.5 on the front just sorting out a few essentials to get me back out on the grid...this will be sorted with new suspension and top mounts.
Thanks for the guidance though
How is the AG?
Just the universal one from eBay, it's fiberglass I have just sanded down and sprayed it over it's a good fit. Just make sure if your running a full cage you Mount it far enough back it doesn't catch.
Not posted in here since last year....end of last season racing went well, a big step up from doing your normal track days all good fun though.
Realised over winter I need £££££ to be competitive....so another year building up bits and pieces should see me in a good position by the end of this...
