Mine was the same mate, years worth of dirt then only get a prompt chance to clean when the engine is out, I'm not sure if there's a picture in my build thread but your description does make sense yeh, yeh I've rand this setup since I went epas last year but on standard pulleys not the pms ones
Can you not just run a shorter belt and not run the pas delete pulley mate? That's what I'm doing on my cup brackets. Good progress too, the bay looks to of come up really well after the clean!
Does anyone run pms topmounts and gaz coilovers on a ph1 and have the adjuster hitting the underside of the bonnet?
I also finally got round to replacing my heater box with that of a 1.2 one under the scuttle panel as I no longer have air con
Completed my abs delete this morning not to bad of a job really I used ford pressure deducting valves and a cup master cylinder if anyone's interested, 2x25ft composer brake line with fittings .
Just got to sort the dash light out now but I will splice it so it goes off with the oil pressure...
Speaking from experience the main thing that went wrong on mine was the original Clio loom had to be replaced as there was a wiring fault and that was only picked up after wiring in the standalone, other than that it wasn't too bad, I had to adjust the oil return a few times to get it right and...
Can you not wire a Mac solenoid valve as an aux out to the ecu and control the boost with that, correctly if I'm wrong but this should allow you to achieve the boost you are hoping for?
Hi guys I have a electrical fault with my ph1 172, car wouldn't start totally dead so put a new battery on, still wouldn't start but would bump off, checked the relays and swapped them about and checked all fuses and they are ok. Put a new starter on and now I've gone to connect the power and...
Ordered a set of gaz coilovers fitted them and had a friend from a local race team set the car up, car is now running 1.5 degrees camber, 15minutes toe out.
Managed to loose a bit of weight on it too, 914kg with 15L of fuel and 988kg with me in it, happy with that, for now!
Oh bought a...
If your using a cup bracket and removing pas aswell you can use a 825mm Conti belt
Also for abs removal I've got a cup master cylinder and with run ford pressure reducing valves to the read calipers, a bias valve or the cup compensator valve (very little braking effort)
Hi guys, currently planning an abs removal, I have a cup master cylinder and ford pressure reducing valves. First off is it just the two nuts under the master cylinder holding it in place?
My plan is the run the two front lines from the two front ports (closest to the engine) and the two rear...
Been doing a few bits when I can, got a set of forge silicon hoses and been collection parts still, bonnet catch broke and my front bumper has never fit perfect so I got some aero catches to both and fitted a cmcomposites splitter and the bumper is now totally solid.
Rerouted the rear looms...
I had a very similar issue at one point when running an adaptronic, the cause was a broken wire is the lambda sensor loom causing a short, try checking the continuity between those wires and corresponding ecu pins (I don't have a diagram to hand so can't help on what pins those are)
It's too big as in the pulley? Or the mount doesn't fit inside the normal 172 pas mount?
I already run epas it's a lot more effort to revert back.
Is it possible to bolt the standard pas pulley to the pms assembly?
I will design a bracket if this doesn't work
Hi guys, food for thought,
Running a rotrex c30-94 and epas, I can't use a pms pas delete kit as they say it doesn't work with standard pulleys however does anyone know if I can run a 1.2/1.5 clio pas idler instead from the mk2 ph2 setups?
Thanks in advance
