Thanks mate.
So basically the centre silencer will make it sound like the standard one more or less?
It's a choice between this ktr/janspeed or the ktr ultra. Just gets confusing with the silenced/Unsilenced options! Both unsilenced around £380 just now. Would rather have a bit louder than...
Bummer.
This has thrown me off as I was looking to get the non silenced version. I figured since I was keeping the standard cat I thought that would silence it a good bit anyway.
Seen a video with standard cat and silenced centre section and it sounded whank :(
Looking at getting one of these also.
Is there's big difference in noise between the super sport and sport? A friend of mine had a yozza sport and said it sounded amazing but as these seem to be discontinued And I wantsomething that'll sound similar without breaking the bank
There's a lot if conflicting views (finally worked out the search function properly!)
Some say leave it as they are very good and rarely fail, others say leave it till it does as you won't need to interfere with the cam belt anyway!
Got a feeling the garage will be just about finished the job...
Well it is a Renault specialist it's at but I might get them to double heck the water pump anyway. I thought is the pump goes just down the line you would have to do the belts again anyway so rather pay a small bit more now than another 400 later.
Thanks for the quick reply. I couldn't say when it was replaced last as I've not long got the car so maybe just as well getting it done. It's just regular use with some spirited B road driving. Surprised it costs more at this specialist compared to Renault though!
Just after some additional info to what I think I already know!
My cars in having a belt kit fitted and as well as this they think the dephaser is on it's way out so this is getting seen to also.
My question is, is it worth getting anything else done while they have the car stripped to bits...
Digging up an ancient thread but here goes!
How often should break fluid be changed? My cars in getting some work done including a service (so I can keep the stamped history up :( ). There was some water found in the break fluid (Amber warning light) so I've gave them the go to replace it. Cost...
Going to give rentec a shout tomorrow or possible Reno care in Tranent as I've heard they are quite good as well. Need the belts done and the dephaser and probably a full 72k service as well. It's not going to be cheap :( will report back
