More issues with Specialist Components stuff. I'm active on a good few mini forums which SC do a lot of parts for and there seems to be issues with them every time.
It was your first post on this forum and you dragged up a 4 year old thread to complain about it? The user isn't even active on the forums anymore.
Go troll elsewhere.
My heat doesnt go that hot and my cold doesnt go that cold (AC is fucked I think), any reason for this?
the cogs are working fine and the roof sensor is clean. The temperature adjusts but it's just warm, not hot.
Do it! So cheap too for great gains. From what I remember it's less than £100 too.
Saab B207R (9-3 Aero). Stock = 210hp and 310nm of torque.
Stage 1. Remap only = 250hp and 370nm.
That looks decent. A lot of exhaust shops would knock you one together for a similar price though and you can tailor the sound to suit whatever you want.
Those black bungs are the reason for the water ingress in my boot. I'm just going to silicone them off as I can't see the purpose behind them being removable.
Would a dab of dielectric grease be worthwhile?
I'll get a rattle at it this weekend, cheers.
The car has been faultless for months, I was just going to check the condition of them but it seems like it may be more hassle than it's worth.
If they give too much resistance when I try at the weekend I'll not bother trying to remove them.
Good idea on warming it first. I put the socket on them and had that gut feeling that the threads were coming along with the plug.
I'll have another bash at the weekend.
Cheers.
I was having a futter about at the weekend and wanted to check the state of my plugs whilst I had the upper inlet off.
The first thing I noticed was that the plug holes were half full of engine oil, there was no leaks from the rocker so I can only imagine someone poured used engine oil in...
Back in the day (when the mk2’s were new) a mate of mine ran her ‘1.2 extreme’ with 172 wheels and lowered 60mm. Apart from that she just kept it really clean and it was great looking imo.
You’d be able to pick up 172 alloys for under £100 and springs are around that price.

Worth a shot? My rallye failed MOT on emissions (It had sat for a year and only covered 70 miles) but after I fired a bottle of that in the tank and gave it an italian tune-up, it passed with flying colours.
That Meganes lovely, real shame to be cutting it up. That's exactly what I want to replace my 172 with.
That said, the 197 looks great too, best of luck!
