at least ranault could sell the thumb grips separately and we'll deal with the melting stuff (clean it, re-trim, etc)
mine's also f***ed up but that's no surprise is it
I didn't wanted to open yet another topic as I have a similar problem:
the car missfires and starts badly ONLY whel alot of moisture outside (fog, rain-generally late autumn and early spring months)
every time the cure was to take off the leads from the coil pack and wipe them off, then...
well then check for this:
this happened to mine. you have to weld the outer sleeve to the lower arm. mine began to squeak just like the OP said but initially I thought that's normal (heard that powerflex bushes do that..)
brr that brings back nasty memories.... hope you get it sorted :(
mine went through this and I fixed it, cost me about 4k but the legislation and insurance policies are different around here
try some wd40 or smth on all bushes and see if it helps. or if you have the time take off the lower arms and get a closer look to their bushes as I'm sure that's where the noise is coming from
would be good to study a already matched inlet and see how much material and where from has been removed. but matching to the head and being careful about doing it you shouldn't go wrong
nope the 182 has 25 mm at the front (as you said) and the 172 has 23mm. I know this since I ordered a set of powerflex arb bushes to mine-it also says on the powerflex site
they have some sort of a pin holding them in, when pushing from underneath they pop up. to disconnect the hose simply pull downwards; turning it slightly while pulling down may help
the new ones also have a rubber seal that sits between them and the bonnet ;)
guide:
pop up the bonnet
take off the hoses from underneath the washers
push them up by hand or something else if strength is required
pop the new ones in from the top of the bonnet
re-connect hoses
done
Hi
Fiited one to a clio R27 about 1-2 weeks ago. I know people mostly slate them but had a couple of runs with the guy before and after and it pulls slightly better with the K&N on. I think the CAF being routed down in the gearbox/driveshaft area where air isn't that hot made a difference. now...
the megane II 15" 6,5J ET45 steel wheels is what you're looking for. I bought a set for mine and some 195/50 tyres with them. they should be about 50/corner
your's was pretty high before the springs, mine's about the same. I'm pretty tempted on these springs, thanks for sharing!
keep an update on the handling!
I recently had a highway run and at 80 they do spray at the bottom of the windscreen but the area covered is better. however at low and medium speeds they work good and I like the fact that I won't bother adjusting them
not quite true.. I know many cars having red calipers out of factory without having brembo's. brembo are also yellow, bronze, even black.
to the OP- you'll find pics around here with painted calipers in many colours so take a look and decide
I painted red the calipers of a mate's clio 172...
the GTI mk V has red calipers (for example) and they're nothing special but look good though. so can't go so wrong in painting them like this. yeah it depends on the colour of the car a little - if you're yellow or green then probably red won't cut it- otherwise black suits every colour if you...
