That's the carbon canister mate and yes a bolt does appear to be missing/sheared off, although that's not mega important providing it's secure with the other 2 bolts in place.
''3) Since i have got the car the abs has never worked. looked at the fuse box and it was missing its fuse. so i replace that today, but now i have another problem.
Since putting the fuse back in, when creeping in traffic or doing less that 10mph, the abs cuts in straight away, over 10mph and it...
I still very much doubt they will want to know and having read your original post again, this really, really should have gone back to the garage straight away!
But what's done is done and if you've managed to remove the engine OK, you shouldn't have too much drama fitting a good replacement.
I'd...
If I've read this right, you've already taken the engine out, yes?... If so, I very much doubt the garage will entertain any liability.
Ideally it should have been towed straight back to them and they can diagnose what actually happened.
I don't understand why people get so upset with this guy.... He chats nonsense in his listings and is rude to people, big deal, avoid and buy elsewhere, it's fairly simple!
Ultimately, something is worth what ever someone is willing to pay and most on here/in the know will avoid and those that...
The manifold will bolt on, but that link pipe looks to be for a 182, so if the items pictured are exactly what you get, then I'd say it will not be a direct fit.
As for being worth it, that's down to personal opinion I suppose, but don't expect 7 - 15bhp.
I'd be interested to know what firm you use?
I work for a courier company and we don't see prices like that!...
£12 for two large items at 16kgs each and covered for a value of £1000+, would genuinely be interested to know who you're using? PM me.
This may be true, but how many transactions does he complete outside of ebay?
Surely he'd be out of business by now if nothing substantial ever sold, as he clearly has a large unit and would have rent, business rates, etc to cover so I'm sure he must sell some of it... Maybe not at the ebay...
It's worth bearing in mind that the insurance required to cover those for loss or damage would be fairly high.
For example, Paisleyfreight would charge an additional £35 for upto £1000 plus what ever the actual postage costs, so £99, providing they are fully insured, isn't exactly extortionate...
Cars like this do sell, I had a chap who came and bought a few spares from me a while back and he genuinely believed his 172 Cup had well over 220bhp!!
It had an aftermarket exhaust, filter and a coilover kit... Hardly ''race spec'' , but he thought it was the fastest thing on the road, due to...
With a new clutch and cambelt, plus a decent bit of S/History I think £1,200 - £1,400 would be achievable.
All depends on condition and history though, if there's no history, knackered/burnt seats, dented bonnet/doors then it's a different story, but with what appears to be a generally standard...
It'll be worth more as a running/working car IMO and I personally wouldn't pay more than a few hundred quid, for what is effectively a ''non runner'', so if you want any sort of decent money back, fix it or break it yourself.
They won't auto level, I assume they operate via the standard level switch on the dash.
IIRC This will make your car an MOT failure and I'm sure that legally, Xenons must be auto levelling but someone else may be able to confirm this.
Lots of parts available & located in Cowley, Uxbridge - 10mins from Heathrow.
182 on 64k, bodywork is in very good condition and straight, but Engine & Gearbox are :dead:!

Amazing car.
The interior is superb, the little details like the steering wheel & insert, seats & sidemounts absolutely make it.
Love the colour and there's not a single thing I don't like about it...
Wait hold on, yes there is...
The fact it's not mine. LOL;)
Breaking this for parts, located in Uxbridge about 10 mins from Heathrow.

PM, text, call or email.
b.llewellyn@yahoo.co.uk...
I'm not too sure either, but I remember hearing something about it before plus one of the online quotes I was about to do had it in their terms.
It said something about using credit reference agencies, blah, blah, blah, so I thought it best to not do too many.
Thanks for the info Neil, I just tried Endsleigh and they want over £2,000! :(
It's a shame you guys can't help me on this occasion, as your quote for my 172 was amazing and I have been recommending you to anyone I speak to, who's looking to insuring a sporty hatchback, etc :approve:
Best I've...
Hi,
I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of an insurance firm who can offer a reasonable quote on a Mercedes SLK200.
I've tried Greenlight and Adrian flux, but Greenlight weren't interested in quoting on that car and Adrian flux came back higher than the cheapest price on...
So this is turbo stuff? The pistons look dished like turbo ones and the block has oil spray bars (or what ever they're called).
I'll have to do some more searching I think ;)
