I wont be, car wont be back on the road in time, i was aiming for start of this month but have missed that deadline,
should be ready for mot by next weekend, but i cant afford the insurance without scraping some cash together
Well, glad it wasnt just me, i pulled 27 blue neons out of my metro when i scrapped it.
And i've got a ticket somewhere for being a public noise disturbance, stereo registered at 122dB at 2am
Biggest reason for my change was to make it easier doing the cat / decat swap and the fact my 172 cat was absolutely shagged, it was cheaper to change manifold and have a custom sport cat made!

I saw this and didn't know whether to laugh, or cry?
until I saw this...
182 manifold on mine with choice of a custom made sports cat for mot man, and k-tec decat for me to join to standard 172 back end until I pick up a decent stealth system.
Lol, i'll agree to that, I used to make a point of stopping to see what new toys they had out front when I passed by.
On the plus side, project 172 back on road is nearly finished! just needs and oil change and a look at the passenger side central locking and it's ready for MOT!
be good to have...
Damping would be off, the standard shocks are set up for a higher ride height. I think to do what your looking to do your best off going for new shorter dampers that are designed for the new height.
when we used to lower metros, properly, you had to strip the struts down, cut about an inch more...
I had a 1.4 5 door the same colour and year, never let me down, bought the clio, sold the megane 2 months later, clio broke down that afternoon!
its the only car i wish i hadnt sold, my mate bought it off me and ruined it :(
Of all that, the mistake you made was asking renault, 95% of the renault dealers don't know anything about their cars!
I've been asked where the 182 spare wheel is by a main dealer, had an mot failure on a megane centre exhaust mount (cat back is 1 piece, with no centre mount as standard!) I've...
Yet the Espace V6 airbox gives an improvement but they didn't use it in the clios? I get your point totally, and just think that it's french logic all over, before I get flamed.
I've got one I've cut out of my old exhaust, and had a sports cat welded inplace.
Just wondered what it's worth scrap, genuine renault item, local scrappy offered £25, do i rip his arm off or push for more?
no offense, but you can't have looked very hard, or had nothing to compare it to.
It was registered cat D 18/9/2004, had 10 owners from new.
never been VIC checked, although I don't think a D needs to be.
Also, the side strips look odd, or is the drivers door open?
Has anyone got a close up shot of a ph2 headlight, and a cup headlight?
And a shot of the rear connections
i'm convinced ive got a set of campus headlights in my car.
and i'm trying to restore / repair it beyond the previous owners abilities
Renault are running a competition on their twitter page.
they want a photo of your renault emailed to eresponse@renault.co.uk
winner gets £50.
nothing to do with me, saw it earlier and thought i'd share.
god knows theyve had enough money off me in the last 3 years!
