Thought the KW stuff was supposed to be the bees testicles? Unlucky Ash :(
Similar to nick am swapping out sportline ones for twos to make the most of them being modular/upgradeable :)
The offset. Itll be on the inner rim edge with the wheel dimensions. Should be 38.5 if thats the date stamp & 45 from memory on the trophy. Cups ran slightly narrower rear hubs to retain std track.
Running the two forward ports to the fronts, blanked one rear port & running the other rear port through a bias valve, onto a T piece then back through the floor pan to the rear mount bracket on mine.
Scrapped the cup bias adjuster-was badly corroded & seemed useless compared to an...
Yes, quite. It's called humour-something I'm sensing you lack somewhat. Maybe it's through being so busy? Who knows.
Will sleep soundly now 'RE' (you ought know that one, what with being so au fait with email yes?) your belt, excellent news indeed.
Had 'some' facts? What are you actually talking about?
With regards 'Aren't sure if are SRS', this would roughly equate to 'What a ridiculous thing to say, I'm really struggling to ascertain if you're actually serious or not'
Hopefully this is now sufficiently clear.
Out of sheer...
So you're implying that firing off an email and having to wait for a response is quicker than speaking to someone directly over the phone. Aren't sure if are SRS...
Why do people on this forum have such an aversion to picking up the phone and speaking to people?
Call them.
*Beat me to it Steve!
As above comments Birchdown are top notch :)
You got the mounts aswell? Front two are JC5 fitment, rear has tube section welded in as the pickup on the box is a little narrower than a std box.
Can get you the dimensions on the s/f stanchions tonight mate. Comparing the euro/ph2 Cup racer to the std ph2, seems the same bar obviously the...
Pay someone else? Are SRS?
Way you described is same as how i'd adjust mine. Jack it up to take the preload off the turret, loosen the bolts (top plate can stay on) & twist the damper.
Piece of piss. Shirley?
Presumably to take the deformation off a flat so you can use the tyre foam?
I run square tyres on mine so i've no need for a jack. Ride quality has diminished slightly, but they can't all be winners.
I also have a set of the thinner stubs from a 172 cup. Racers (ph2 at least) as std ran the wider stub.
Could the previous owner have swapped them out if using lesser offset rims than the originally intended 48.5mil to give correct track width?
Unsure if the ph1 parts listing is a different...
Wouldnt rule out difference on the strut pick up location on the hub too i guess yea. Difficult to gauge by eye. Wish i still had it to have a better look :)
Did wonder if it couldve been down to none oem ball joints with the rack set to match, but as you said stock damper pickup would...
Noticed when i went to move the 172 ph2 shell-fitted the rack from the ph1 and it toed it out noticeably. Unfortunately I don't have the ph1 to reference anymore, but the hubs seemed the same as the pair from the 172 cup so assume it's the pivot pin mount holes on the wishbone being positioned...
Whats the track width difference on the 182? Assume you mean compared to ph2 as the ph1 track is narrower than ph2, but by a fairly small amount-looked to be sub 10mm.
In what way would widening track width through either spacing or wheel offset affect the scrub radius chip?
OP-which phase...
