I had a 1.9 gti as well.. looked just like yours.. great pics by the way! The generation of the real hot hatches are now long gone. I have a pic but think I'll leave it in the folder, my picture taking skills are not quite as good as yours.. :) Enjoy!

It was used yesterday ;) but generally its a dry use only car and kept garaged in bad weather.

Craig, I took the grill off today for a respray, so it'll be back again soon.. :) the underside is getting a fresh re-paint in grey sealant tommoz... to finish it off under there.
Good to hear Darren liked to hear about the 5.. still have a fair bit left to complete it.. it's still a 1...
Yeh it feels free of anything stuck on the paintwork that shouldnt be there now.. good stuff :)
I was going to use it on the glass next, even tho they look fine.. I can feel some bits of embedded particles of stuff on them so will give it a go... < very technical there.
I dunno why I didnt do it sooner! I finally had a go with claying!! How easy is that, and the results are stunning... I was thinking about using this on my cars 5 years ago!! Finally got around to it... mighty pleased I gave it a go.. no looking back now.

I have just finished where I left off yesterday... I think this will be ok as it is now.. really came out well using hammerite after I gave the whole lot a degreasing which took a while out in the cold! :)
The end result..
I used to use a few Meguiars products.. I still use there Gold Class car wash/conditioner. It almost looks polished just after a wash with that stuff.. :) (and the drying microfibre towl is also very good and save time drying if u'r lazy like me)
I now only use the Meguiars quick detailer now...
