I used to have that issue in my old 30k miles Mark 2, wouldn't go away unless I shifted out of gear and back in to it. I put my foot down pulling out of a junction and it would just judder more, no response, nothing.

Its a common fault with 1.2's that they have trouble accelerating. This is usually down to the fact that its a 1.2.

6,000 RPM, it was the same on my old 1.2 Mk2. It isn't actually 6k though it bounces off it at roughly 5.7. Hits hard especially if your slamming it in 1st. I haven't hit the limiter in this one yet though, I see no general point as I've seen dyno graphs from standards dropping 10-20bhp at those...

No you got it wrong Knuckles. I voided the warranty BECAUSE it felt healthy. If I felt like there was something wrong common sense would have told me to take it back to the garage but it was as solid as a rock even hitting 4.5k RPM's occasionally.
