Hi been mentioned to me that I can fit a bigger compressor in the tces turbo housing. If anyone has any experience with this can you let me know what compressor you are using. Thanks.
They are not bad, but if like what you say; the map is a ticking time bomb. Do what I am going to do and get diagnostics on it. Not happy? Take it back and ask for your money back.
Oh yeah I do like those EcoBoosts, 120BHP or so isn't it for a 1.0l? They never state Extra Urban conditions only Motorway. On a good motorway run I can get 50MPG, 55 is unachievable though.
Exactly the same! When I drove the TCE I was putting my foot down normally but then I was taking it back off because it was going too fast! Great feeling.
The steering too, going from what you have to one of these is absolutely outstanding; it feels like your moving a feather!
Yeah mate, if...
Everyone seems to doubt everything everyone says on this forum, here's a picture for your interests:
(On the other hand I'm not sure if your trying to slate or not? Excuse me if you aren't)

I know what...
Having the KTEC map done Wednesday, driving home like its a cold engine too until I get confirmation that the map is safe in the higher revs. I highly doubt the map would blow the engine up at 2k RPM's.
Too many Vinyls, preferred the silver bullets!
I'm not a fan of 5 dr MK3's to be honest; they look wrong.
Apart from that, if it was a 3DR I would give it a 5*
Its not really a Renault sport either so I don't know why you've advertised it like one?
Whats insurance like on the 1.6 bro? If its good then I'd probably be inclined to agree with you. If you test drive both, get back to me I'd like to know how different they feel! I know the TCE Jumps a little bit at half throttle at low RPM's because of turbo spool.
Might actually feel no...
4000RPM; was driving in a 30 zone was loud enough. Before Map running 98 BHP, about 8-9 seconds to 50, about 10.5 to 60 I guess. Now its about 8.5 seconds to 60.

If your down for power figures.
1.1 TCE 155nm Torque 98 BHP - Mapped to 170nm & 135~BHP with injectors included. £400 quid (At most).
1.6 NA 155nm Torque 126 BHP - NA reliability, power power power.
1.1 would come out on top for pull (Not far off a 2.0l might feel like a 1.8), 1.6 for top...
Won't regret it. Fuel economy is the reason I never got a 2.0l 197/200 because I drive extra urban, we are talking 2-5 mile journeys regular. Would have such a bad MPG from it.
If you hard drive a TCE you can get them as low as 28MPG.
To be frank I would just get the Turbo Charged 1.1 and kit it out so it produces 135BHP ish. All you need is 172/182 injectors and a remap and your already tapping 128+BHP, an aftermarket exhaust and filter would compliment that loads. Then you have fuel economy when you don't want to slam it...
Yeah mines the facelift too :) much nicer front end than the old ones; would never have bought one if not for the new front end. I hear people mentioning that Eibach springs are great for handling; might want to consider that as your first mod when it comes around! Not long for me till I get on...
Remap sorry, TCE 100 mate, MK 3. I'll slam up a dyno graph in my project thread on Thursday. Getting Diagnostics etc.
PS Sorry for the Steal, just wanted to give you an example of some badass mods that you can take in to account when you change insurers!
Looks clean by the way, whats the...

Just letting you know, they don't charge much extra for a TCE. I had a 1.1 MK3, traded it in for a 1.1TCE MK3, about £500 cheaper a year on insurance for me. Don't ask me how.
The pipe you are on about is the pipe with the dump valve attached to. The intake pipe where the diverter valve was previously connected to is plugged in. How does that allow unfiltered air get in to the engine?
Its the old diverter valve pipe so instead of redirecting the air in to the engine its now dumping it all hence the reason why I plugged the pipe that the diverter valve was attached to. I can post a picture tomorrow to clear this up if everyone wants me to?
The redirect pipe that the old diverter was attached to and no, it's not wrong. I haven't blown the engine. Much more pull when the turbo spools up (I can hear the wine when the radio is off). But low revs has taken a hit from it; but not much; its hardly noticeable.
Why do you want to have a cone filter anyway? Your just going to lose performance with that location. I have a 1.1 TCE and I just kept the standard airbox but with a pipercross panel filter. Thickness between the two was astonishing and the car felt more responsive. (Yes the old one was dirty).
I do too especially when you have a standard bay. Dat Silver feeling.
Both of you should GTFO if you've got nothing good to say. It's a shame you both don't have dump valves to look at and appreciate ;)
